There's all sorts of conspiracy theories you could put on Rex, both for and against starting Tebow:

    1. You could go with "put McElroy in the one week Tebow is out, because he didn't want to play Tebow.

    2. But you could also go with "rested up Tebow's rib, because he had an idea that if the Jets lose one more, he's making the change." Wanted Tebow at his best for an eventual change.

    4. Could add in "benches Sanchez for McElroy, that way the benching is clearly about making a change from Sanchez, not just responding to Woody pressure to put in Tebow."

It all depends on who they play next week.

I like McElroy, I just don't think he's got the arm or the overall size/athleticism to play the position at a high level in this league.

If McElroy keeps the job the Jets will have the most expensive backup QB stable in the history of the NFL.

#3 could be that Sanchez played his worst game and McElroy was the only available QB.

Yeah, I think the Pats game was a decision-maker. I think unless the Jets looked good today Sanchez was on the bench. It was the right move. The Jets also got lucky that the Cards just blew chunks on offense today so Rex could make the switch and get the win also.

also as a injured rookie. This right here is the reason why I won't fully respect this QB. At least right now.

But he has the mind to play the position which is what you need in a person who is commanding your offense.

I could see him being Pennington v2.

    He should feel like crap.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to decide whether McElroy is "better than Sanchez"

I agree he's got the mind. I just don't think he's got the body.

And that you can never develop.

You mean the one guy who told the truth with his name attached to it is now the guy the team will look to for leadership?

Nah, that only happens in fairy tales.

Nevertheless this is the right move. Keep McElroy until he proves he doesn't belong (which Sanchez already did two months ago).

Hypothetically if McElroy is the the starter going forward and Tebow is 100% does Sanchez become the inactive QB?

This is my first time watching SNY post game this season, I see why everyone dislieks them. They are annoying

You could ship Sanchez to Arizona in the off season.

Anything would be better than what Arizona has now. Lindley shouldn't be on an NFL roster.
