Unintentionally funny Sanchez seems to be the new gift that keeps on giving.

Gus Frerotte never lived down the headbutt.

Joe Pisarcik never lived down the fumble.

John Elway and Dan Fouts lived down the times when they lined up behind the wrong asses before snaps.

I just wrote "butt" and "behind" and "asses."

You can see that good QBs can overcome gaffes but mediocre or bad ones get remembered for them.

I think Brandon Moore has an imprint of Mark Sanchez’ face on his butt. :breakdance:

Nope. This will always be remembered as the infamous moment that killed his career in the NFL. He could have a resurrection somewhere else, but thanks to YouTube, fans will never let it go.

On the NFL Network, using a British accent, "Dost thou remember when Mark Sanchez' cranium hit the posterior of Brandon Moore?"

The football world is abuzz with this video and the Jets performance. Thanksgiving Day, national television, everything on the line for the Jets...and this is what Sanchez and the Jets deliver. We'll be seeing this fumble for weeks before every Jets game, and opposing fans will have a blast with it.

It wasn't just hilarious, but along with another "near redzone" pick, it was Sanchez in a nutshell. Devastating mistakes when the game is still in play, but then gets decent stats when it doesn't matter.

We've had two of the most hilarious fumbles in NFL history. First Holmes, now Sanchez.

Greene's ridiculous fumble on the 4th and 1 should get an honorable mention too

The sequence was pure Benny Hill. The Jets had like 3 of those Thursday night with Sanchez, Greene and McKnight all playing as if they were auditioning for the show.

Here's what happened: Sanchez (again) refused to take acceptable losses on a busted play and instead turned them into unacceptable losses.

What he should have done on the play after he turned the wrong way and missed the handoff was to sprint out to the right and throw the ball out of bounds as soon as he was outside the tackle box.

That's an acceptable loss, caused by a broken play.

What he did instead he deserves to watch on blooper reels for the rest of his life.

It will be Legendary unless Sanchez can win some big games, very big games. That's the only way out.

I give Moore 25% of the blame on the ass fumble play. He should have squeezed the rock.

As great as it is to have this preserved for all time, nothing will ever replace the pure joy of watching it happen the first time.

That, right there, is his legacy until otherwise proven wrong...

And for the record, I do think Mark will have a long career after his time with the Jets is over. He will forever be able to have on his resume 2 AFC title game appearances. But his career will be one more stop to battle for a starting job, after failing again, he will be regulated to lifetime backup status. I do not think that he will have a Testaverde career resurrection...

He is a mexican version of Kyle Boller, he will have the same exact career. Management teams reached for each pick and dubbed them franchise QB's only to fail. Sanchez will be a career backup once his time is done here with the Jets. I agree he hasn't been given the weapons so succeed but he hasn't raised his game much at all over the years.

    He is what he is..average.

Honestly, that was more Moore's fault then Sanchez. Vince Wilfork manhandled him and threw him directly into Sanchez. And I wasn't laughing when that play happened, because I was so blown away . But after Mcknight fumbled, I was hysterical. Laughter is the best way to cope with what has happened this season.
