Not if the D and special teams play like they did up in Foxboro.

I just seen it on the ESPN ticker. This week he was 84. But for the season he is dead last.Did I write for this week? If i did i meant the season he is top 5 worst.

Please, shut the fuck up. Our Defense let Steven Jackson run all over them in the first quarter. Our special teams fucked up a fake punt, and let a guy run it back, which if not for a soft holding call, would have changed the game.

How did he have a top 5 worse QBR? No turnover, no INT.

I meant the season. My mistake. Damn. And our defense did put pressure all day on bradford and our run D was better in the second half.

When Sanchez has played well this season, meaning his QBR was above 17th, the Jets are 3-0. When he has played poorly, meaning his QBR is below 16th and above 25th, they are 1-2. When he has played badly they are 0-4.

Editing to say: with the exception of the first Fin game where the Fins tried to lose so badly they eventually made it happen the Jets have not won a game this year where Sanchez was not in the top 6 in QBR. That also suggests that he has to play very well for the Jets to win a game.

This would be in line with the notion that the Jets haven't got a lot of talent and unless Sanchez is really on top of it in a given game they're probably going to lose.

If the run game works at all, we have a chance to win on Thursday. Or almost any day.

Yes, you said that Sanchez was top 5 worst "this week". This week he played like a top 10 QB, based on QBR. He is not dead last for the season but he's near the bottom. You tried to make it seem like Sanchez had nothing to do with this win, which couldn't be further from the truth. When your QB is #6 in QBR and completes 75% of his passes, that is not winning just because of defense. Also our special teams are a joke in case you haven't noticed. McKnight is the only good thing going on there.

He gives up if a good defense puts pressure on him.. The pats have a ok defense that lost a lot of those players parcells brought
in like Bruski, harrison, law, seymour, etc... So I think he will play well this week.
But if a big time defense plays us like his loses to Pitt,Houston,49ers, and the texans. Even so so Defenses like Miami beat us. The pat game . We should have won if not for bad calls.

You are fishing for Sanchez excuses.
Our Defense forced 3 turnovers, and has been playing pretty damn good all year even w/o Revis. That side of the ball is no where near the problem with this team.

Throughout the game Sanchez held the ball too long and took sacks he shouldn't have taken. In the 1st quarter, when he was holding the ball too long, he had it swatted out of his hands deep in Jets territory. If not for an incredibly lucky bounce where the ball bounced literally right back in his hands, Jets are down 14-0 early and it's a whole different game. When the defense forced a turnover on the Rams 15 yard line, Sanchez couldn't gain a yard which led to the blocked FG. To suggest that Sanchez played well on Sunday is simply delusion. He didn't play as terribly as he usually plays, but that doesn't mean he played well, understand? If it wasn't for Shottenheimers truly awful play calling this game ends up being a lot closer then it was.

I think it's more like Sanchez is soft and easily gets knocked out of games. He didn't take any big hits yesterday so we survived and he played sharp for most of the game. In most of the games we have lost, he's taken a huge hit early in the game. I don't think its coincidence. I think we need to build this team from the oline, just because that's the type of player he is. We need to accommodate him or get rid of him. One or the other.

Which should be the focus of the offensive play calling.

I think Spermrano will figure that out. schottys jet like play calling yesterday proves he never will.

He called the same game that cost is the playoffs up in Seattle.

Brett Favre cost us in Seattle in 2008, Brett Favre blew our season.

    That's play calling.

The modern NFL is predicated on short yardage pass plays. 85 % of the time the ball needs to be gone in less than 3.5 seconds.

How? What did I say that had anything to do with Sanchez, other than asking how he was top 5 worse QBR this week, (which really means shit).

It's not play calling. I'm the first one to admit the playcalling has not been spectacular, or even decent in many cases - especially the garbage with putting Tebow in for one play at a time (it's time to put him in and leave him in). That being said, it's not like Sanchez was taking 7 step drops and looking to throw the ball on deep routes. Sanchez was taking short drops, looking (as usual) uncomfortable and panicky in the pocket, and pulling down his passes. In most cases, after he held the ball too long, and the pocket inevitably collapsed, he rolled into a tackle ala Rick Myer (except that time early when he had the ball swatted out of his hands).

Any unbiased observer should be able to watch any other game - even college games - with sub-par qb's and see a SUBSTANTIAL upgrade over Sanchez - it's really not even close.

You guys need to see what the fans of teams with Bradford, Stafford, Newton, etc are saying about their QB's.

And none of them has won a single game in the playoffs, home OR road.

BTW, Matt Ryan is beginning his playoff fade early.....5 ints.

A discussion for a different thread, but ...

Farve was god awful, but Mangini blew that game and our season by kicking a FG on our first drive with 4th and 1 from the 2 yard line. Not 4th and goal ... 4th and 1. Desperate for a W, and he pulls the most gutless call in the history of the franchise. Inexcuseable. We just moved from our 20 to their 2 like a hot knife through butter and this pussy settles for 3 points. He cut our offense's balls off and completely killed our momentum and our spirit and gave life to a Seattle team that was playing out the string.

When the camera panned over to the sideline and caught him mouthing the words "field goal", that was the exact moment I knew I wanted him gone forever. Uggggggh! I'm still furious about it today.

EDITING: In fact, it probably was even less than a full yard because I see in the game thread that the officials called for a measurement.
