each to its own - regardless of the ints, he was able to keep his team in the game. again not bashing on mark, i am a supporter of his, just saying outstanding is a bit much
no i have not bought in the hype...lot of teams hobble into the playoffs...again mark had a good game, yes it was "outstanding" in comparison to his other games this year, but again outstanding is a bit of a strong word for his performance. again, i am a mark supporter, i say it again, he had a very good game
None of the 4-6 teams right now would likely win a playoff game. It's the NFL and any given Sunday certainly applies but if the Jets made the playoffs right now their opponent would most likely be the Peyton Manning and the Broncos in Denver. The Jets don't win that game. Even if they did the next week would be the Texans or the Ravens and they don't win either of those games unless they get really lucky on turnovers. They probably don't win against the Ravens even if they get lucky on turnovers.
There aren't any great teams in the NFL, any of them can lsoe in any round. Not a person alive(that wasn't a Jet or Jet fan) thought we could beat NE 2 years ago or SD the year before that. Peyton has a history of gagging in January, they can be beaten. will it be us? we are too far back to discuss playoffs right now but if we make it that means we'll be playing pretty well at the time and I'd take my chances.
Couldn't agree more. This year especially. No team truly looks dominating. Anything can happen on Sunday. Jax had Houston sweating - Houston is supposedly the strongest team in the AFC.
He did and he should have. Don't forget the Rams played their Superbowl the previous week and we aren't playing our Superbowl until Thursday. Mark was trying to get sharp for the Jets Superbowl and the Rams were already played out from their incredible effort gaining an overtime tie in their Superbowl the previous Sunday.
I've been bashing Sanchez and the offense as a whole lately. So i'll give credit where its due as well. Offense didn't turn the ball over this week, ran it well, gave good QB protection, and play calling was improved. I'd be happy with the no turnovers aspect alone.. Pressure defenses is where Sanchez really looks terrible though. That said, NE doesn't have one of those. As long we can keep the score close thru the first half, it will force NE defense to play 2 dimentional, and that plays big time in our chances to win. It will take a complete game on all 3 phases (something i haven't seen yet), but we can win Thurs..........or we can all be back here Thurs night, drunk and full, cursing this offense yet again....either is very possible
Sanchez plays like he does yesterday, we win on Thursday. It's really that simple. ALL of those mistakes he made last Pats game, and we still had a shot to win. I think this is going to be a positive defining moment for this team.
Actually, this one is hard to call. We had something like 288 yards of total offense yesterday, I don't think that's going to cut it against the Pats. The question is, can Sanchez elevate his play, i.e. get more production, but still take care of the ball ?
Yep. Sanchez with 0 turnovers gives us a great shot on Thursday. Playing at home on a shortened week for once will be huge. Tough game for the Pats. They should be favorites but I think it will be a close game going either way.
I hope you're right! there is a part of me that feels like Charlie Brown metaphorically speaking. My emotions are about to optimistically line up for another kick of the football, knowing full well it will likely be yanked away again.
Sanchez will play good this week. We might lose, but he will play good because of ther secondary.. Unless talib picks a couple.. This is sanchez's super bowl.. He loses, then the season is over and rex should insert tebow or mclroy to see what they have. I hope sanchez gets it and play's despite T.S. bad play calling..
Remember when Rex used to come out every week and tell the media how great Vernon Gholston was every week, well he does the same thing with Sanchez no matter how bad they perform. I hate that about Rex and Mr.T they lie way to much. Rex: I truly belive Vernon Gholston will be a great player one day Rex: Sanchez gives us the best chance to win Rex:I think Derick Mason will catch 100 balls for us
Sanchez top 5 worst QBR this week..... We won because of defense and special teams. It goes to show you how a team can win with a top 5 worse QBR..
Ok, that is a blatant lie. Where did you find that stat? http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr/_/type/player-week/week/11 According to this he is #6 best QBR for week 11. Why lie and make up stats? Nice try. Sanchez's TD and 75% completion rate had nothing to do with us winning? For real?
You're an epic fail. A missed FG, a blocked FG, a fake punt which failed, a kick coverage team that allowed a 45 yard return and was fortunate to have another kick return for a TD called back by penalty. Those special teams sure were huge yesterday!!! Yup, they were on fire.
I was speaking in general terms..Sunday was defense and our run game. Also no turnovers by the sanchize. Chad henne threw for 354 and 4 td's .. When was the last time Sanchez did that?
Sanchez was #6 in QBR for this week. 84.0 In the Jets wins he has been ranked #2, #23, #5 and now #6. In the losses he has mostly been terrible.
