I disagree. The defense is ready outside of a few changes at linebacker and barring Revis set back. They are good, really good. I agree. Sanchez is TERRIBLE! It's been really hard to watch him play for the last 10+ games. You never know which Sanchez you're going to get. The kid with heart that wants to lower his head and make a play or the kid running frantic for his life when nobody is even putting pressure on him. I was hoping he was going to find that spark he once had, but I think he may have just completely lost his edge. If you can run the football it opens up so many opportunities for your offense. It kills me that the OC does not call PA bootlegs when we are running so well. This is your marque opportunity to knock a defense out with the home run, this is when defenses begin to cheat. We have not executed or taken advantage of ball fakes, at all, like we should. I posted this video earlier today of the conference championship game: At 6:40 watch how bad they freeze the linebackers with the play-action. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2011012300/2010/POST20/jets@steelers#menu=highlights&tab=recap Holmes sucks, he's terrible, he's a bum, he's garbage, he's a bad teammate and he's a cancer. 1) 1, 100yd game 2) zero, 10 catch game 3) drops the ball 4) does not get open 5) blocks no one 6) fumbles 7) gets injured and throws the ball to the other team 8) talks shit to the media about teammates 9) Never gets up field 10) Never breaks a tackle The day Holmes is off this team, we are instantly a better football club.
Hey, Bud Adams put the Titans on notice and they destroyed the Dolphins. May be can destroy the Rams.
How many teams project out their success for the season by the quality of their backup QB. A backup is a contingency plan. You won't hear the Steelers fans saying this because they have to start Leftwich now.
Yes and no. He isn't helping us, he's a big time distraction when the team needs to be 100% focused on planning for the next opponent. We are wasting prescious resourses putting in and practicing gimmicks to our offense. Whenever Tebow comes in for Sanchez it clearly rattles his rhythm. While Tebow isn't the main reason why we are 3-6 is absolutely is a big part of why we are 3-6.
Very good means we at least got to a SB in 13 years. It's been above average, but not very good. Woody brought Tebow in for excitement purposes. It's obvious he felt bringing in Tebow would get people into the stadium = selling PSL's. It's been an epic failure though (selling tickets)
I wasn't fine with 92-96. But we had just as much success with Leon Hess from 1981-1998 as we had with Woody from 2000-2012. The difference is I know Hess wanted to win while Woody wants to sell shit.
This would be a better argument if the Jets never had used the wildcat the last few years. I am not saying that it isn't true, but it really shouldn't be. I actually think that Rex thought he could run more plays with Tebow, but because the O is so inept, they have to use all the practice to try and fix that, and don't have the time that Rex hoped to practice plays with Tebow.
Hess wanted to win, yet he sucked at it. Woody wants to make money, yet he's had more success in far less time than Hess. I'd take Woody, who has been more successful at winning AND making money. And we have a stadium too now.
Hess and Woody have accomplished the same in nearly the same amount of time. (Hess bought out most of his partners by 1981). I'm not saying Hess was great, but Woody definitely isn't great either.
PSLs....Tebow.....Media Business....Snoopy and Met Life.....Mitt couda been a contenda... PUKE! Fire Tanny WOODY!
well this entire week has been a complete and total shit storm for the jets. i have to wonder what it will be tomorrow? i have to assume it will be something at some point tomorrow. and then because the jets tend to do it this way tehy will come out fired up, sanchez will play decent and everyone will forget about everything that has gone wrong the past month. until thanksgiving and it all turns back to shit again. this cycle is tired and old.
The distraction thing is sooo overrated. In NY or in major markets, you will always have "major outside noise", especially when you are losing. Heck, when Sanchez was struggling in the past 3 years, players and coaches always had to deal with people saying, "is Sanchez the starter?"
