There's always somebody that wanted everybody in the draft 6 moths later.

Im not that in love with Wilson. I don't see him really ever being a top QB in this league. I've never been a fan of run-first QBs. He's also a midget, and he takes a lot of hits.

I'd rather have taken Nick Foles.

I wonder what's going to happen to Matt Flynn. Are the seahawks gonna hang onto him, cause if not Id put him and Jason Campbell on the top of my sleeper FA QB list.

Russell Wilson is an inch shorter than Drew Brees.

I wouldn't call him a "run first" QB, either. He's attempted 234 passes and 45 runs this year. He has the ability to run, which is a good thing.

Wilson has played very well at home this year, as I posted in another thread. He's 4-0 against some pretty good teams there...8 TDs and 0 INTs, too.

So far, so good for Russell Wilson, really. He's been playing pretty solid, especially for a rookie and definitely at home.

The fact that Bradway wanted Russell Wilson isn't a good thing. The Seahawks may make some hay with him but they'd be much better off with a prototypical franchise QB than with a short guy who defenses are going to figure out and ultimately suppress unless he's completely unique somehow. Doug Flutie was a good QB too but his limitations were apparent.

Brees is a clear exception, not the rule, and there's a good reason that so few short QBs have succeeded in the NFL.

I like Wilson fine, but I don't think he'll end up as anything more than league average.

Wilson has potential to be a great/good NFL qb . If he was taller then everyone would be projecting him as a future elite qb.

I would have rather drafted Wilson than have traded for Tebow, but I thought the 3rd round was too high to draft Wilson. But he's turning into a good player.

Agreed. Not sure his long-term upside, but other than height, he has everything you'd want in an NFL quarterback. He's really a test case to see how shorter quarterbacks can do.

Would not have minded drafting him in the late 3rd/early 4th. Hard to say if I'd prefer him to Davis though. Tebow, that's not even a question.

He's definitely helping Aaron Murray's cause. Murray is a QB I am becoming more and more interested in.

I don't want another flawed QB to build around. I don't care what the flaws are. The last 7 QB's the Jets have had have all had major flaws that the weak management and hostile environment managed to bring into full bloom.

    Neil O'Donnell - Mediocre arm.
    Glen Foley - Injury prone.
Vinny Testaverde - Old and inconsistent.
Chad Pennington - Weak arm and injury prone.
    Kellen Clemens - Bad.
Brett Favre - Old and penis photographs poorly.
Mark Sanchez - Young and inconsistent, may have no penis if you listen to his critics.

It's time for the Jets to go get a no questions asked QB. That should be the focus of the entire organization until they find one. There are other things that must be fixed also and maybe even first but failing to find the QB in Eli's town is a capital crime.

So what are the options? There doesn't appear to be anyone coming out of college this year, there are not a lot of options in FA... and every QB has a flaw. Who should we go after?

Seahawks will keep Wilson, because we've watched him every week and believe in a few years he will be atop the NFL. We could e wrong, sure, but we're very optimistic.

So, you can have Matt Flynn...

the problem with this is those can't miss qb's don't come out every year and you have to suck at exactly the right time to get one.(see indy, twice)
the jets seem to be stuck moving just above and just below mediocrity

I don't think anyone was suggesting the Seahawks would move Wilson.

I wouldn't mind Matt Flynn for the right price either.

I didn't mean that we would move him, just that we love him and are happy to keep him. You guys could really use Flynn. Problem is, he might be the next Sanchez or the next Favre.

Flynn should be the happiest man in the world, getting paid $30 million to hold a clipboard.
