At this point I don't want the Jets to make the playoffs. At this point we are much better off tanking this season and getting good picks. If we properly fill the holes in this team, we will be good to go. We have some promising aspects, we just have to fill the holes and add a little to the good on this team.
"I'm forecasting a 0% chance of playoffs with a 99% chance of completely and totally embarrassing this organization and its fans with our dipshit antics and horrific play. Back to you Tom."
Not too good. Sanchez isn't as bad as he showed today, but he's not the answer. Too inconsistent. Miami pressured him all day so that didn't make it any easier.
Seattle is a must win. Today was a must win too. The margins got error is getting smaller and they don't look like they are getting better.
Playoffs? What's coming out of that pipe? Sign me up for 3-13 and I will take my chances with a very good draft pick. Yes, after 42 years as a fan this is what it comes down to - looking for hope - next year.
I think this is true. They talked smack all week, but were incredibly unprepared for what should have been considered a must win game. This team may have some talent, but they are very immature and haven't demonstrated that they can win when it matters...just the opposite.
Well, the good(ish) news is next week on our bye, we can hope that every other team not named Pittsburgh ahead of us loses their next game (which is possible). If things go right, we might be just barely out of the playoffs instead of competing for a draft pick.
9-7 could get it done. Losing today is a problem though because we would have had the tiebreaker on Miami. The biggest issue has always been whether or not the Jets were good enough to get there. This was a devastating loss for playoff hopes. The good news is that there are no games against elite teams left other than New England. We'll also get the toughest road game out of the way immediately with Seattle. Win that, and we can start dreaming again. Lose, and it would take a miracle. Either way it's very difficult.
The only reason we even have a remote chance of getting into the playoffs is because the AFC as a whole frankly sucks.
:rofl::rofl::rofl: after the next 3 games, the team as currently staffed and run, will be 3-8. all of you who counted miami as a win are probably counting the rams game as a win. i am not unless drastic changes are made. even then , it's a tossup.
