People on hear take everything so serious holy shit, you can't even make a joke without 40 people crying about it, i happen to be a big Rex fan, what is this a boardroom roundtable or a Jet forum. we aren't talking about einsteins theory of realitivity
lol not with the injuries on and lack of depth on this team. im sure hes the same Rex behind closed doors. hes just learned to stop drawing attention to his team. in fact hes become smarter about getting the media to focus on him and not on the QB drama and lack of a run game. especially this week by making the whole story about Bush and not anything else.
Completely agree. I also think he's just putting on a show for the media. I'd bet anything that in the locker room he's the same old Rex that's been here the last 3+ yrs.
I think he wasn't as confident as he was in the past, I get the sense he feels really good about this team right now and he has this team ready for this week. All that talk the other day obviously came from rex speaking to the team.
I'm fine he has toned it down with the media swagger. No one wants to hear bold predictions, or the best this, the best that.. just go out and do it. with the team itself, i'm sure the swagger is there, which i think is great.
He should do whatever he wants to try to gain a competitive advantage and get his team ready to play.
I think by now Rex gets it. We really don't believe in the BS anymore but only in the results. The Jets need to win period. No more talk, no more BS, no more "putting up a front". Its time for this team to deliver or shut the fuck up until they do. Talk is cheap and unfortunately, so is the respect the Jets get both around the league and in it's home turf.
Rex could run around in front of the NY Jets beat media naked, flapping his loose skin around like a big flying squirrel, and he'd still be second fiddle to the attention that Tebow gets. Rex is a big-mouthed guy and likes to talk, but if Rex talking gets the Jets media attention, it was a calculated hire by Tannenbaum and Woody, based on his personality. Not because he is sitting there thinking up ways of getting the Jets media attention.
I actually kinda like it and think it's good for the game. He's a character and it makes things much more interesting. He's intensified the rivalry between the Jets and Fins and Jets and Pats. Here's the problem though...his swagger was intimidating a few years ago b/c he was a new coach coming from a team where he ran a dominant D. But now, he's repeated the same old song for 4 years so it doesn't have the same effect. And to top it off, the Jets aren't as good as they were in '09 and '10. So when he says how tough the Jets are now, people don't really listen. No offense, but there's no intimidation factor w/ the Jets this year like there was a few years ago....the Jets are just another team in the AFC fighting for a wildcard spot.
Why would anyone give 2 sh!ts ? I love Rex, especially the smack talking Rex. This whole family friendly, nice nice shit is for bitches who need everything labeled and lined up in a row nice & neat. Fuk that. So you can only talk shit when you win? lol...yeah ok. That's called front running and that's an even bigger pussy move.
