Sanchez could win the Super Bowl with this team and some 'Jet fans' would start threads asking what his trade value was.

The Jets are ranked near last in offense and rush defense so to think that the teams that they play against are worse is a misnomer.

The Seahawks and Rams both have above average defenses and the Jets play these team in their stadium these games are away and are not at home.

If the Jets lose to Miami its conceivable that they will lose the following 2 games leaving them at 3-7 and out of the playoffs and squarely in last place of the AFC division.

The Jets looked good against NE because they have the worst defense in the NFL and still won the game. You could say that Sanchez stats were more to do with a NE secondary that was depleted more so than any great QB play.

As long as the Jets have Sanchez there is no game or opponent that any Jet fan can be confident that they are going to win.

Our football team is not very good and you will see a huge difference in how anemic our offense really is when they play 3 of the better defenses in the NFL in Miami, Seattle and St. Louis.

You can't count the chickens before the eggs and as long as the Jets have Sanchez the worst starting completion percentage QB in the NFL there is a greater chance of losing than winning

Miami is 28th against the pass. Tennessee 27. SD 25. JAX 24. Bills 20. Pats 28. Seahawks 8. Rams 14. ARZ is 4.

We 1 pass defense in the top 5. 2 in the bottom 5. 3 in the bottom 6. 2 in the top 10. 5 in the bottom 10. We play 2 above average pass defense, one average, and 6 below average coming up.

It's in the realm of possibility our passing game can produce similar numbers to yesterday if execute. Execution has always been the problem though

I'm sick of hearing about our current offensive ranking. Talk to me when everyone else has faced HOU, PIT and SF (current top 3 defenses statistically and reputably in NFL) in 3 of their first 7 games and let me know where that team stands. Our offense is coming together.

Please stop putting things into context. People don't like to think that way.

    58-86, 67.4%, 676 yards, 6 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

those are sanchez's numbers since dustin keller came back. this is not the same offense that miami faced in week 3.

According to 'turnontheJets.com'...the three games Keller has been present Mark's numbers are....

    58-86, 67.4%, 676 yards, 6 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

The numbers might be skewed a little because of the nature of of the first two opponents as well as the Pats Pass D...but I think it still explains most of the reasons for the 48% completion rate...

You can say the better numbers are skewed because of the opponents, and it's true, but the 48% number is also skewed because of the opponents. We played the #1, #2 and #3 defenses in the NFL during the first 5 weeks of the season. We won't face a stretch like that again this season. I guess it is also a possibility come playoff time.

Schilens & Cumberland started multiple games w/ Holmes, Keller and Hill out. We also couldn't run it, people need to realize these #s aren't black and white. mark bears some responsibility obviously but he was put in a tough spot and now as we have gotten healthier and he has gotten more confortable in this offense he is playing very well.

Over the next 5 games we play 4 out of 5 against top 10 defensess including #'s 3 and 4. The only easy defense is the Pats and that does nto make it an easy game. Things are not getting any easier for us on that side of the ball.

Not sure where you're looking that up but NFL.com has the Texans and Cowboys at #3 and #4.

That would be Yahoo taht has the Seahawks and Cards at 3 and 4. Figured it out, your going by total offense yardage, I had it set to PPG.

Seahawks and Cardinals -- also two of the worst scoring teams in the NFL

6 of the final teams we play are 20th or worse in scoring

This is true, but tahts nto what the thread is about. We were talking about how tough the defenses we have faced so far are. Things stay stingy as far as defenses we are facing for the next month, out side of NE.

^It's at 53% now, so it's moving in the right direction. Next week against the phins it should go up even more.

It's all about Keller. Sanchez #1 target in back to back years. With him out he had a lower completion rate. No surprise. Kerley has also stepped it up. Remember in training camp Rex was talking about being a little disappointed in him, well I guess that lit a fire under his ass because he's playing like a #1 receiver right now.
