Talk in the Oakland blogs about trading DM.....doesn't fit their blocking schemes and not a Reggie McKenzie type of back. They are talking #1 and #4 picks. Pure speculation, but if the Raiders lose a few more games and put him on the trading block (1) would you want him and (2) could we afford him pick- and $$$-wise. I think his outside running game would be AWESOME alongside Greene.
There's no way Oakland is getting a 1st round pick for McFadden. He's had one good year and a year where he was injured and now he's having an off-year after the injury year. I kind of doubt they could get a 2nd for him at this point.
3rd round, that can be elevated to a 2nd only if he plays 80% of snaps or something like that while playing all games.
Funny this was mentioned. I remember at the draft this year the dude next to me said the Jets got McFadden, maybe he was from the future? As for this trade scenario, no, the Raiders wont be looking to move run DMC unless he suffers another major injury, in which point I would not like to have him.
Does he have a track record of injuries? Yes. Do the Raiders have a track record of a great medical staff? No. Is Run-DMC an immense upgrade to our run game? Emphatic yes. Will this ever happen? Emphatic no.
Even drafted as high as he was the word then was his legs looked like tooth pics and he'd never survive the nfl....guess at least one guy got it right.
He's never played a full season but there's no doubt he would bring a threat to our offense that we don't currently have out of the backfield. He also has low mileage. Given that he's never played a full season and he's in the last year of his contract I wouldn't offer more than a 6th round pick for him. edit: He is not on the last year of his contract. It goes through 2013.
Great back who has caught some bad breaks injury wise. I wouldn't give up a 1 for him but I'd definitely be interested if he was on the block though.
