I actually feel bad for the kid looking back on it. Mostly because you know he's gonna be on Sportscenter and C'Mon Man and Sportsnation. He's gonna be the face of this loss, and people are going to automatically forget that, minus the drops, he's been filling in nicely. This is a kid that's being asked to be a #1 receiver. Actually the only kid in the draft that's being asked to be a #1 receiver. Give him a break.
I didn't watch closely enough but that extra second could have been big between the win and loss or at the very least changed a few things with how the Patriots ran their last drive.
They would have had 0 timeouts left, and we probably would have run it 3 times. They would have had 1:10 remaning probably
Hill was already looking down field trying to see where to run before he even caught the ball. Huge mistake.
Did the Pats even use a timeout on that last drive? I think the 1:10 remaining would ahve been bigger then them not having a timeout.
if the special teams didn't allow a kickoff return , if the ref didn't throw a pass int flag 25 yards away from the play, if Sparano didn't keep inserting Tebow especially the last drive when.Sanchez had momentum going.... there is a million ways to.argue this.
If the Pats had 0 timeouts left it wouldn't have made any difference. It was 3rd down when they kicked the field goal and they let the clock run for a good 5 or so seconds before calling timeout. They could have easily spiked the ball in that situation with no change in the outcome. If Hill gets the catch, then of courses it's a different story. However, no one knows if the Jets go on to score there or if they even force a fumble on the following kickoff.
Did you see him on the sidelines laughing right after the drop? He doesnt care at all. Typical Jets player. He can go fuck himself
