Eleven man blitz, attack the middle at the snap like Schiano on the kneeldowns lol

Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't leak before the game. Half the point of doing something risky is to keep it secret.

This ain't Rex saying it, it's a beat guy's opinion.

Problem with that is they actually 'can' run the ball. Plus that's not even a super-secret risk perse, the REAL risk would be daring Brady to beat us though.

What the hell would qualify as Rex's biggest risk anyway? Making Santonio Holmes captain? Saying he's going to win the Super Bowl for the first of a thousand times?

The things you listed wouldn't be as bold as creating a new scheme or trying a new gameplan.

Rex blitzes a LOT when he has 5+ DB's in the game. He uses the extra DB's as edge rushers that cannot be easily blocked by anybody but a back.

Maybe he won't send anyone at the QB.

I've done that in Madden once or twice. It failed miserably :breakdance:

God I hope he's finally going to take my advise and go back to the no down linemen defense where everyone moves around and Brady looks like a deer in headlights.

4th quarter desperate defense. It only works if you eventually send 1 guy, or if you're using it to run out the clock.

Maybe he'll use Coples and Wilkerson to cover the TEs and blitz with the safeties lol

I just meant what would have been his biggest risk before this.

    Another couple of guesses:

Cromartie plays safety, matches up on one of the TE's
We stay in a 2-3-6 dime the whole game (we are losing DT's by the minute and our linebackers haven't done much anyway, so why not?)...on running downs sneak Landry or Bell up and have it be a quasi-nickel.

Watch this be much ado about nothing, or Rex back out of whatever it is.

Its the same scheme employed by Belicheck and the Giants in the SB against the Bills. Sure they can run, but running takes time and that allows the Jets to stay in the game. If Brady goes air the whole game, the Jets probably can't catch up. So you dare them to run and do your best to slow them down. But you stay in the game until the end.

Cromartie playing saftey wouldn't be some big risk move,it's something that involves Tebow

If this report is legit (doubtful) then this would be my prediction. I would say he decides to go no down lineman for the entire game.

One other thing Rex might be doing tomorrow is going for it on 4th down unless it's 4th and a mile. It's actually the percentage move according to most analysis of the topic that I have seen, however coaches have been leery of doing it forever so what appears on the face of it to be a sound tactic is actually rarely used.
