    1. Slauson missed block from the front, then went low FROM BEHIND. Make NO mistake about it.

    2. Tackle on the knee from behind is extremely dangerous. Say, in EPL and et. al, if you go for the knee from behind, the ref will ALWAYS brandish red card on the spot, with multiple (up to 5) game suspension right up your ass. Slauson should be grateful that these things do not happen here in NFL.

I can't tell whether it was from the front or the side. Definitely not the back. I guess when you can look at it from all camera angles it's easier to know for sure.

Watch the clip. It was not DIRECTLY behind - Ok, I will give you that, if that is your contention. Watch where his line of vision was, and where Slauson was coming from. It was a hit from behind. (He didn't come from the left side. If you know the bearing, from Cushing's stand point, Slauson came at some 250-260 bearing, not quite 270. Cushing couldn't possibly have seen Slauson going low on him under that situation.)

See if that flies in soccer league, by the way. I know it doesn't.

Nobody complained about Pouncey cutting at Revis.

It's not about cutting a player - cut block is a legitimate blocking technique.

It is cutting from the out-of-sight direction, catching the player off-guard. Try that on anyone - he's done for the year.

He didn't touch Revis I thought? And it was from the front and near the play where the ball was

I can agree that he is coming from the side and a little behind him but it also looks like he dives in front of him and Cushing falls forward, over Slauson. I can't tell where the hit is on Cushing but I don't see how Cushing falls forward and over Slauson if Slauson hits the back half of the leg.

Filthy dirty hit and he went right at the knee to boot.

Anyone trying to rationalize this or say it was legal or (best of all) claim mindreading abilities about "intent" is an idiot.

I am getting tired of you. Are you blind?

Cushing does NOT fall forward. Watch the clip again. His leg gets cut from behind, so Cushing gets airborne, while the left leg folds up front and his torso bending BACKWARD. If Cushing was hit from the front, then since it is the low hit, the frontal momentum on his torso would have resulted in Cushing falling flat on his face, not on his ass. Just what is so hard to see?

Watch the slow-mo at 27 second mark. You cannot miss the cut from behind. It was fucking vicious and dirty hit. No other way around it. Ok?

If you STILL insist the cut came from the front, this is just for you:

Convince yourself that Slauson came from the front, while watching that picture. Tell me you can do that.

I don't think there was an intent to injure, but it was a dirty play. I'm guessing a spur of the moment, poor decision. If it happened to a member of the Jets, we'd want blood.

I think some of you need to learn the rules. It was not a illegal hit. Look the rules up.

Nobody said this was an ILLEGAL hit. I clarified that with my first post. It was a clean hit ACCORDING TO THE RULE BOOK.

Does that make a clean play? Hell no. It was a dirty and cheap play.

OK, so you admit you are an idiot, we got that out of the way. If you watch the video Slauson's helmet hits him in the thigh first and he slid down, this was from the side, his helmet was in front of Cushing's leg. It may have been called an illegal hit from being just outside the tackle box but I doubt there is a fine if Cushing didn't get hurt.
There are hundreds of illegal hits, blocks, etc. every year. Unfortunately sometimes players get hurt. If you call this a filthy, dirty hit and feel the fine is warranted then the league is missing probably 50-60 hits that should be fined every year but aren't because the player did not get hurt.

How does his helmet get in front of his leg if he is coming from behind?
Camera angles can make things look very different, hence the reason they look at the different angles during reviews of plays.

The good news is that Slauson is probable for this weekend with a slapped wrist.

Fuck the Texans fans. Spent all weak hearing them complain about this hit even though I partially agree with them. Bunch of hypocrites. Anyone see this hit. Pretty much the same thing happened to Kenrick Ellis.
