my biggest issue with sanchez wasnt the interception on the goaline or even the awful miss to cromartie. it was the 2nd and 3rd down plays from the 4 before we settled for a FG. 2nd down, schilens completely uncovered over the middle on a busted coverage and he tries to force it into coverage and its tipped at the line. 3rd down his first read isnt there, he panicks and throws it to no one.
Cromartie missed pass ( would have tied game) Game changing interception ( 10 point swing in a 6 point game) High pass to cumberland for interception
Yeah, SANCHEZ didn't play bad.......if he was a fifth round pick, but the fact of the matter is, SANCHEZ was 1st round pick, 4th overall, so I would expect him at some point to carry this lousy franchise, which is pretty obvious he can't. I have no confidence in this clown. Hell, I don't think he has confidence in himself. It's time to move on. The guy is an utter failure.
So true. It's gotten to the point where making plays and hitting wide open receivers isn't even considered in the rubric. It's just a matter of how many absolutely inexcusable plays per game he makes. Tonight he made one good pass, missed a half dozen open receivers, missed a wide open touchdown to Cromartie, ate a sack in a situation where you CANNOT eat a sack, threw a pick in the red zone, and threw a pass too high that ended up being picked on the most crucial drive of the game -- but it's cool, bro. Everyone makes bad passes, so don't mind Sanchez's 12 per game. And it's not his fault his line couldn't block the blitz even though they brought one more than the line could block and he should have read it and gotten rid of it. And the picks? One was tipped by a defender! Did you even know they could do that? Totally not his fault. And the other? Hit the hands, not Sanchez's fault. So basically you've just got one great pass. Go Sanchez! Another game of being let down by your teammates.
Lemme see, am I gonna take analysis from a Super Bowl winning RT who happens to know the ins and outs of football or some Chicken Little acting fools on Gang Green? Decisions, decisions.
we have 2 offensive touchdowns in the last 4 weeks. our defense and special teams has as many touchdowns as our offense
Well you can't really count the FG as 'special teams points' when the offense DID drive the ball down the field. So it's ten points for the offense.
"Cromartie missed pass " -- yep, bad one indeed "interception " -- tipped at the line by arguably one of the best def players in the league. And to do that the guy had to extend > 7 feet. Sanchez's fault, realy? "High pass" high pass my ass. Cumberland's feet were on the ground & his hands not extended. The ball was maybe 6 inches above his head, watch the play again. This would be a completion for 90% of WRs.
Tebow should atleast be put in at FB where Mark fakes a handoff but Tebow actually passes it and goes Deep. This is the creativity i thought we'd have with the Bo' Man.
I've been a big Sanchez defender in the past, but I feel myself being pulled into the anti-Sanchez camp. The dude's been around 50% passing in four of five games. That's unacceptable, regardless of protection issues or a lack of playmakers. I'm no Tebow fan, but if Sanchez has an under 50% completion percentage, they might as well put Tebow in. Of course, a better move would be putting a legit back-up in, but the Jets don't have one of those because they opted to bring in a media friendly novelty act rather than a real QB.
