wonder what the vegas line is , over/under, on bart scott missed tackles? probably about 50. i'll take the over.
only 1? you must have already started dreaming . only 1 would actually be an improvement. let's not forget about bonehead fumbles, either.
the car ran really well until we ran out of road and drove over the cliff...... it always looks promising before reality sets in. see after the buffalo and miami games for reference. and, the colts won't be a gimme game, either.
the players actually got two days off as a reward for playing so well against san francisco... so, they'll be well-rested.
I've tried to come up with conceivable ways for the Jets to beat Houston on Monday night and this is all I could come up with...
That's great! Haha! Ewing theory shall prevail! Injuries can motivate the younger hungry players to step up. The Jets need that more than anything now, with our best player on offense and defense now out for the year. So we'll have Schillens & Jason Hill on the outside with Kerley in the slot. Hopefully Jason Hill will pull a Braylon Edwards and be playing with a passion in his debut. Still no Keller, Cumberland needs to get it together, his play is hurting us. Connor is unlikely, so running game will be tough. If Sanchez can get on the same page as these young guys, we can put up a good fight. Here's to a Powell touchdown, a Wilkerson forced fumble, an Ellis deflected pass, a Schillens deep TD, a Coples sack and a Demario Davis interception on Monday! The future is NOW!
If the Jets are as bad as everyone thinks they are, then I'll be thinking about who should be fired and what the Jets need to do when the Jets are 2-6. For now, I'd rather think of ways to beat the Texans. I don't see how the offense can pull it off, but the one thing this offense has is speed on the outside. Schilens is tall and fast. Hill is pretty fast. Gates is one of the fastest players in the NFL. Kerley is very shifty. None can beat jam coverage. All would look better with a better/more confident quarterback.
In all likely hood the Jets will lose in similar fashion as they did to the 49ers. Real question for me is what will they do at QB position for the Colts game? If they either go with McElroy and Tebow and they perform as bad or worse than Sanchez where do you go from there? It's pretty much playing out how I thought it would.
Oh and how annoying JR Smith is (from a Knicks fan). Sanchez's inconsistency is just so freaking annoying. He has 1 fantastic game and 1 qtr then just hits rock bottom. Something HAS to be wrong in that guys head. He just wasn't the same as he was before that Timmons hit, but that's not an excuse. Sanchez has to pick up his play if the Jets have ANY shot to win and compete.
Actually, if you recall, right after the first quarter of the Steeler game, he got hit in the head. I've been wondering if this was a concussion ever since. But never reported on.
btw ticket prices are insanely low on StubHub, as of this morning they're around $22 for the cheapest seats (with fees they're more like $27 apiece; $54 total for the lowest pair).
"We're 2-2, everyone thinks we suck," he said. "Who cares? Screw everyone. They think we suck, so … there are a lot of other teams that are 2-2, and they're called resurgent and 'Oh, they're so great.' It doesn't matter. We're going to play the game as well as we can." http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...k-jets-jets-talk-their-way-win-houston-texans
I cannot see us winning this game,,,,I don't even see us being competitive,,,,I hope they shock me but this will be ugly IMO Ps I saw tickets in the upper level for $8 today.....so amazing it's sad
If the Texans read the press on the Jets and don't take them seriously then the Jets could surprise the Texans with a few lucky bounces/plays with the "On Any Given Sunday" rule. But the Texans defense is probably one of the top 5 D's in the league, maybe even top 3 and they have a very balanced offense between their running game and Schaub. Otherwise this could be an ugly game.
If we lose I hope it is because Foster scores 3 TD's and 200 yards for my fantasy team. Hopefully, we can pull off a miracle and give up those stats and still win!!
