    Underway in Atlanta

4th inning, Simmons bunted with 1st and 3rd and 1 out and ran clearly in fair territory. The throw hit his helmet and he was called out for interference.

Strange bunt because the runner from 3rd wasn't going and the pitcher was on deck. So if you do bunt the runner over, you have 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs for Medlen.

If the Yankees don't win it all I think I wouldn't be upset if Chipper Jones does.

St. Louis tries to give the game away with bad defense and get a gigantic break with the infield fly rule invoked on a botched pop fly that probably shouldn't have been called.

And now the fans are throwing crap on the field. Very impressive.

Where are replacement umps when you need them? That will go down as one of the worst call in mlb history..maybe worse than the call in the packer game.

This may be the end of the second wildcard or a one game playoff all in one year and on one call.

Maybe..but more than any play I think I have ever seen the protest on this game may be upheld. Nothing about that call was done correctly.

Its like this: Vinny scored a touchdown against the Seahawks, and the Jets won. And that's the truth, and I'm sticking with it.

Terrible decision by the second baseman to do a jump throw - Chipper would have never beaten it out if he had set and thrown.

Sure, they shouldn't have thrown crap onto the field, but that was an inexcusable call unbecoming of even replacement officials.

The Rangers offense has anemic of late, and it's carried over here. Buck managed to squeeze 5.2 out of Saunders, O's offense has just enough right now
