Get the F out of here loser! There are a few people on this board who know why I've followed the Jets the last few years and yes I was a fan and still am for that reason. I don't need to prove my fandom to anybody. Go suck on something you lame!
I might have wishful thinking right now, but imagine for a second that Greene & Powell have a monster game, DK comes back and helps Sanchez out, Sanchez completes enough passes to move the chains and doesn't make silly throws like he did last week, and the defense gets to Schaub. Imagine for a second that we won and pulled a great upset. That the 4-0 Texans lost to a miserable Jets team with a bunch of their playmakers and their best defensive player out. Can you say "Media Frenzy"? Yeah, call me crazy. Or just call me forever a potential optimist when watching the Green & White. IN REX I TRUST
As I said, I'm a potential optimist. Look, if it wasn't for the 4 turnovers in that 49ers game, it would have been closer. We were down by 10 at the half. Granted, we never even put any points on the board, but like I said I think that is attributed to poor performance by Sanchez and turnovers all around. If you turn the ball over that much, there is NO WAY you can win a football game. Even if we had Peyton, Brady, or Flacco. We're only 4 games into the season and we're 2-0 in the division. I haven't lost hope yet. Would you like some of what I'm taking? It works wonders.
Man, I remember about 17 years ago bringing a bunch of my University friends over to watch the raiders/ jets on a monday night. Had all the food and drink out ready to show my buddies how great my team was. I think the raiders scored over 50 points that night. I don't quite recall but if I remember it right it was like 56-3 at some point......Listen, I think we suck it up and play a tough game against the Texans. I think we keep it close and might even put a scare in them. Remember what happened the last time everyone called this team a bunch of clowns. Here's hoping.
That was a Sun Night in 1995 and we stunk that year so I'm not sure how good you thought they'd be. we lost 47-10, the Vance Joseph on Tim Brown game
Now that's funny right there, I'll tell ya! I don't care who your quarterback is. GIT-R-DUN! From your keyboard to God's ears.
People are acting like one bad game determines the season. I still believe Sanchez has been playing hurt. He needs his #1 target back. This is a game we need to win.
Sanchez made the throw to Holmes down the sideline...winning and losing can come down to one run, throw, kick, fumble. The Jets made a play when Miami failed to make a play. You think Arizona is saying we are 4-0 but NE missed a chip shot field goal and miami let up a last second 4th down touchdown from 20 yards out? No they re saying we executed better when we had to then the other team did. That is making plays. Plus in the Miami game Hill dropped an easy touchdown, you had no keller, no running game, and bad routes being run all day.
I am sorry, dude, but I hate this just one game crap. If the Jets had beaten the Niners by the same score, you'd be saying just one game? I think not. I think you'd have gotten your Super Bowl reservations lined up by yesterday morning. I have little stomach for homers this week. Obviously there are losses that affect the team more than after the game ends. Why just last year the Jets were playing NE on Monday night, a chance to pass NE for first place, beat them on their home field, the Jets entered that game 5-3. They lost badly and went on to finish the last 8 games at 3-5, and spent the playoffs on the couch. Surely you do not want other examples.
I have come to learn that after 30 years you don't get too high on the highs or too low on the lows. Let the season play out and see where you stand in December.
That is the way it should be but w/ message boards, the internet, constant media scrutiny when you win one you are SB bound, when you lose one you are done for the year. I'm not saying we will rebound, I hope we do but do people not remember losing MUCH worse to NE 2 years ago in DECEMBER? yes we were better then but that loss was much worse at a much more critical time. Can we come back? we'll see but it's foolish to give up.
Bills won 2 games in pretty convincing fashion after getting demolished week 1. We should rebound its just Houston is such a tremendous team right now. I expect to play better which isn't really all that difficult. I don't expect to beat Houston.
