polian isn't the question or the answer. he is terrible, he is too old and he insists on bringing in his idiot son. w/o peyton manning bill polian would be selling insurance in des moines.

he would be an improvement over tannybum/bradway, even if you were right , which you aren't.

after what happened to mangini, no pats guy will come to the jets.

i don't even think a giants guy will either.

our owner doesn't exactly have a guy-you-want-to-work-for reputation in the league.

after those dumbazz contracts to wayne hunter, sanchez, holmes, and scott, i would demote him to unemployed.

it's not like he did any better with the cap as he did with talent.

Polian is as good as retired at his age. I want someone out of the Ravens, Niners, Giants or Patriots front office. I don't care about rivalries, we need an exceptional GM to compete in the game today. Those 4 organizations are the best today from my humble perspective.

There are only 32 GM jobs in the NFL. I don't think rivalries count like fans think they do when it comes to coaching/front office jobs.

He'd have to remove his helmet, step off the short bus, and undo his lobotomy. Really, it's not fair to ask all that of the poor, special fella.

really? whole bunch of guys left the jets to go elsewhere. outside of mangini, who left those teams to come here? rex and some of his staff left the ravens. but, nobody i recall from pats, giants, green bay, pittsburgh, 49ers, you know, teams with consistent history of winning/competitive teams.

Who left our organization to become a GM of another team in the last 10 years? Parcels doesn't count, those were his nomadic years.

I don't care about coaches right now. We need a whole new team of talent evaluators and that starts with the GM.

My bad, have to be honest I forget about teams I don't care about so I'm sure I knew it but forgot. Thanks for clarifying.

I don't think you can go wring with anybody who was raised working for the Steelers. Just curious but what was Floyd Reece's roll with the Giants before he was promoted to GM?

Mayock would be interesting, but I could see him passing on top tier talent. He would try to pick something up later to show how good he is.

I don't believe Rex has a whole lot of clout.

Reece works for New England as their Senior Football Advisor

are you talking about Jerry Reese he was the college scout, then pro scout, then director of player personnel and now the GM

lmao @ the geniuses who think the solution is to hire a 70 yr old man who is responsible for the failure known as jim caldwell and one of the worst nfl coaching staffs in the past 10 yrs and the juggenaut known as the 2-14 colts. bill will go down in nfl lore as being the guy who drafted peyton but was only able to win 1 sb with the best qb since montana. the game has passed him by as was demonstrated by his repeated failures in indy which resulted in jim irsay correctly firing him. now TGGF braintrust wants to bring in this bumbling geriatric and his half wit son. why not just bring back herman edwards while we are at it? lol
