This. I guess Tanny for extending Sanchez, but ultimately, you can't do much when your quarterback is this bad and the rest of your team isn't absolutely stellar.

I don't think Revis would have made a diffrence in this game, they rushed for over 250 yards thats on the D-Line, Alex Smith barley threw the ball, Kapernick torched us with his feet a bunch of times and coulda scored again at the end. I don't blame Rex , Rex almost got us to the Superbowl twice but we had alot more talent and depth those two years now we don't and thats on Tanny

Who drafted Revis? Was Tannenbaum the GM then?

Yep, looking really good atop that division with no Revis, no Holmes, no running game, no QB, no WRs, no run defense and starters who are not even good enough to be backups on most teams. Let the sunshine in!

tanny without a doubt. i have a real distaste for him now, and bringing in tebow was just an awful move, he has done nothing for this team but create controversy. there are too many problems with talent on this team for it to be on any one player. tanny has put us in a tough spot with his contract moves and its really showing this season.

This is Tannenbaum's fault. Poor drafts since 2008 are finally starting to catch up to this team. They have no depth at many key positions. Sanchez sucking is more an indictment against Tanny then Rex in my opinion. He drafted him.

They have no depth at WR at all. It's embarrassing how bad their receiving core and backup TE's are. Totally inexcusable, every year teams go through injuries. One injury to somebody other then your QB shouldnt automatically ruin your season. Hill is a rookie and Kerley is a slot WR. There is no excuse for not bringing in a veteran WR with some degree of success at the NFL level to help out. Braylon Edwards would have been the perfect choice. Could have had him for league minimum.

There also should have been more of an emphasis on upgrading the O-Line if they wanted to be a ground and pound team. Those great rushing teams the Jets had in 08, 09, and 010 had a line with 4 above average offensive lineman. D'Brik had a down year last year and has been average this year in my opinion. That leaves us with Moore and Mangold. Slauson sucks and Howard is ehh. Im not asking for a great player at every spot along the line but couple an average line with average to arguably below average backs, no passing game to speak of to keep D's honest and thats what you get.

i go back to what i said during the summer. start mcelroy and get rid of tanneybum.

btw: the rams are 2-2 under shotty. is he a genius? or, do the rams have a better staff picking the draft choices, in addition to the offensive coordinator?

the jets should clean house at the gm and scouting dept. sparano and sanchez should go also. with the trade deadline at week 8, the jets should be sellers. however , with the albatross contracts tannenbum gave to sanchez and holmes and scott, good luck getting even a 7th. :shit:

Hey, relax! I'm not trying to make a point, just asking a question. I really wasn't sure who was GM when Revis was drafted. I agree with you that Tannenbaum's drafts overall have been awful. He hasn't found even 1 gem since Revis.

Well this is Rex's "Best Team Ever". Can you imagine how putrid the worst team would be?!

The drafts haven't been horrible. Calm down. We just haven't drafted any 'star players' recently.

Personnel decisions: T-Bomb (That is, the coaching staff, position coaches, trainers, et all.)

Player selections: T-Bomb (That is, Scouting department IS led by Terry Bradway, of all people - you can give him some pass in that regard. As for trading the picks away - that one is one T-Bomb. Getting old FAs with bloated contracts - YES, that is on T-Bomb too.)

Defensive debacle: Ryan 75%, T-Bomb 25%. (But then, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.)

    Offensive debacle: T-Bomb

    0-16, here we come?

no fucking shit...... and just about everywhere else sans a few franchises. So how did expect the JETS to get their hands on a kid that predicted to be the top NFL draft pick his freshman year of College?

The talent on this team isn't as good as it has been, and there is a lot of inexperience depth issues going on as well. In the past this hasn't been a big problem because we have been relatively healthy throughout Rex's tenure as HC but now things are being highlighted and we have all known how bad our depth has been and that falls on Tanny.

I'm not worried about, Rex. I think if people start calling for his head, it is a huge mistake. You have to stick it out with your something that is good for us even through the bad times and we should do that with Rex. He has come in here and has given this team an identity right out of the gate and we have been winners under him. The defense is struggling but this defense is old and out dated and you can only do so much with that. I trust that Rex will get this corrected, maybe not this year since it is to late for the talent pool, but I know he will make us relevent if we stick it out with him.

There is nothing immediate about the draft picks and decisions Tannenbaum has been making for the last 3 or 4 years.

All I have to say is that I'm glad I didn't give Woody any PSL money. He is motivated by money over winning. IMO Ever since the stadium move and the Giants winning Superbowls, I believe Woody Johnson has had much more say in the personel moves. From Brett Favre to Tim Tebow, our team has become the circus. I miss the days of Curtis Martin and Wayne Chrebet, the team I rooted for as a kid, which was full of nothing but class acts. The reasons I admired the team from beginning really do not exist anymore.

Rex isn't a good head coach; his bias towards the defensive side of the ball has made us one of the most offensively inept teams, in a league where offense dominates.
Having said that, Tanny still is more to blame than Rex.
The Tebow move was a joke. And his drafting record,. along with the huge contracts he's given out to mediocre players, have put us in the middle of a roster nightmare: Too little young talent, matched with overpaid mediocre veterans.

    Its a three-headed monster.

Rex isn't a Head Coach, he's a D-coordinator. He's clueless about dealing with the offense. He can't talk offense in post-game because he knows nothing about it. He relies too heavily on the O-coordinator and doesn't take charge when needed. The Tebow fiasco has run its course. They have no idea how to use him. Lets dump him on a team that does.

Tanny is a cap specialist, he's no talent evaluator and worst of all he's the guy that all other GM's in the league salivate to deal with come draft time because you know Tanny will give up valuable picks to reach for a marginal player. Tanny needs to go back to being a cap specialist and a real GM needs to be hired.

Sanchez is a career backup. Its sad that they extended his rookie deal. they should have done nothing and let his play this year dictate what they do. Right now I'd trade Sanchez and Tebow for any other teams backup QB, preferably Matt Flynn.

Rex and Tanny get a pass this year because NY hosts SB and you know a new head coach and new GM aren't making the super bowl. After next year they both need to go and take the Sanchize and Tebow with them.
