Tannenbaum and Ryan have proven they have zero ability to judge talent. The drafts of the past three years have been awful. They have added little depth while ignoring the team's most glaring problems (slow aging linebackers, lack of pass rush, poor receivers, nobody who can run with explosiveness and, most of all, a quarterback with a severe case of bad head). They deserve the blame for the state of the team. Nobody else. It's not Sanchez. They've lived with him for three years. They knew what they had and stuck with him.
#1 mistake was not bringing Braylon back. That forced them to rely on a guy fresh out of jail and a rookie.
The drafts haven't been horrible recently at all. Coples and Hill both like solid picks thus far. Wilkerson Kerley were both very good picks, and Ellis and Powell both have potential as well. This would be a much different team if it was healthy, as we saw week 1.
Hey, look on the bright side. There's still that .00002 % chance Revis could be available for the Super Bowl. (cue mad laughter.)
Hill has had one good game but he has dropped about 5-6+ balls already and now he is hurt. Not to mention he got absolutely manhandled by a hurt Steelers secondary. The jury is still out but i think Coples will be more of a solid. He just doesnt seem like a pass rusher though...
They weren't great but we've been picking in the late first round in recent years. And it's still too early to judge but as of now the drafts still produced four starters, a slot WR, a very godo KR, and the future starting NT and probably RB.
Don't think Tanny should be fired but he should be moved out of GM and into cap focused role. However, if the new GM wants to clean house with management then Tanny needs to go.
