And is anyone predicting a 4-12 season for them? No. Everyone is bunched up in the league this year, anyone can make the playoffs it all depends on who comes through in the big moments. If the Pats are so bad, we should easily beat them out for the division according to your logic. Bills have Tashard fucking Choice at RB, and Bush is hurt again for Miami and have Tannehil at QB. The division is ripe for the taking, even without Revis.
Revis has not played his last game as a Jet, Rex would never let that happen. He is still under contract through the 2013 season, Im so anooyed with some of these poster who think this is it for Revis in NY, Why??? because of an injury, so what Revis will be back next season the Jets would never trade Revis, there's no realistic trade that's worth it, we will give him a new contract in the offseason. Revis is the one player on the Jets who always shows up, And who knows Revis could be ready to play come playoff time if he is ahead of schedule doubtfull but possible , assuming we make the playoffs
Yup. The more our DL and (wishful thinking) LBs can quickly sack/hit/disrupt the QB the better our mediocre CBs will look.
Agreed and agreed! We saved some money by sticking to the contract and I don't see us giving him the money he wants next year after having a season ending injury. Maybe Wilson shows something, or we draft a CB next year. Hold tight on the contract and if he holds out the contract extends for three years. He has no power especially after this. We will be able to trade Revis for a first rounder easily even with the turn of events or better he drops a lot on his asking price. Usually its the other way around though, since they feel after a big injury the next contract is probably thier last.
I hope you are assuming he is fully recovered by then, if not only Tannenbaum would be stupid enough to do that not knowing if he can ever play to the same level again.
Wilson had to face guard Davone Bess. Davone Bess. He will undoubtedly grow and become a better player, and perhaps the outside is more suited to his strengths. But I don't know how you guys aren't having visions of Cromartie still back pedaling when Wallace caught the hail mary that was in the air forever, or the constant face guarding from Wilson, and then the depth behind them. Yech.
All you can do is hope that he bounces back strong next season. Revis is arguably the best cornerback in football history, at his physical peak -- it would be a tragedy for the sport to have that path to Canton derailed by injury.
If surgery isn't being done right away then its not a 4-6 week injury like Welkers. This is a season ender for Revis..but by no means for the Jets. Jet fans need to stop being such whiny pussies. Man up!!!
lol @ his binky. Yeah most top teams in this league have a binky for their QB our's is Keller. Personally no freakin way Revis has played his last game. He is clearly done for the season. Smart money say we rework his deal so he is dirt cheap this year or we IR him or both. This very well could end in a trade/signing ect of a new toy question is off or def. I know cro is not a top 10 Corner in this league but he could play number 1 on several teams int his league. Im not jumping ship you guy can run for the life preservers ill go down with the ship.
Unfortunately his days as the best cornerback in football are over. His skills are gonna be there but those quick pivots and speed are now gone.
4-6 months, and you're exactly right. Our fans are the most overly dramatic pussies on the planet. Suck it up and move on!
Rex was just sayin in his presser how now we simply have to put way more pressure on so the backfield isnt as exposed. Problem is Rex, unless you want me to believe we haven't been trying to pressure QBs with our front 7 until now, we simply don't have the talent to do that with our current roster.
