At least let him throw the damn football. He lost yardage on several plays, especially in the red zone. Before the Sanchez INT he backed the team up and forced them to throw it. When Sanchez was getting into a groove, Tebow came in and screwed it up with these option plays.
I agree they need to expand the Sporano-cat to make it work better but that INT had nothing to do with Tebow. It was a terrible decision on a separate play. But if you are going to blame Tebow for the INT then you need to give him credit for two TDs that occurred after Tebow got nothing on the Sporano-cat in game 1.
It was a poor time to put Tebow out there. I blame Sparano/Rex for even letting it happen. I blame Tebow for not being football smart like he usually is and throwing it away. I blame Sanchez for not fully looking at his coverage and blame Cumberland for running what seemed to be the route 3-5 yards way too deep drawing the second defender.
OK, let's brain storm some plays for Tim. The guidelines are: Must not make Mark feel inadquate. Must not be predictable. Must have running and passing balance. Must not disrupt the flow of a drive.
I think there is an advantage early in the season to lull everyone into the run options. If successful, the pass can be worked in. But the run option must be established first because that is why he is there. Oh, an no one is getting open to throw to anyways.
The run option without a pass threat is a bust (predictable). The run option with a pass threat gets recievers open. That's the advantage of the run option isn't it?
The pass "threat" is there. But Tebow in and of himself is not a huge pass threat. Add the Jets are not a huge threat in the passing game right now. What do you want, Tebow to sail a pass just so we physically see it? That will come one day I'm sure. But first they have to establish that the Wildcat run package actually works in this offense.
I said nothing about Tim throwing passes or what I want, but you know that. I'll tell you what I want though, for the Jets to win their games. Based on your comments and different from you , I think Tim can help that happen. You seem to want Tim to prove he can be successful before you are willing to give him a chance. No surprise there. Most peeps that fear Tim being successful think like that.
Seriously?! What? So what are you talking about now? Did your eye just start twitching frantically and you just started typing stupid anti/pro-Tebow rhetoric? It seemed to me the topic was if there should be passes out of the Wildcat offense.
who loads the line then goes the opposite way against two unblocked defenders? Maybe Tebow was stunned at the stupidity of the play and became frozen in place..... What Sporano has done is mind boggling garbage, I'm all for shelving the Sporano -cat
Ok, my bad. I just read a few of your most recent posts and you clearly say as long as the Jets have Tim then figure something out (paraphrased). I'm tired of all the useless and childish 'Tebow eats shit and barks at the moon' comments and my memory of you failed me. I'm so old I can hide my own Easter Eggs so try not to hold it against me.
