Don't mean to be overly pessimistic, but it's hard to see how the Jets seriously compete without Revis.

Hopefully it's just a hyperextension or something, but you have to fear the worst with non-contact injuries. Just ugly all around.

Yeah, I am thinking the same thing. Unless a few players breakout and have fantastic years (Coples, Wilkerson, Davis, Hill, Powell, ect) its hard to see us competing.

We are first in the division, but it is week 3. Cleaning house may be in our near future (again). In that case I dont see how we keep Revis, and Tanny better be fucking gone.

Revis partially missed the season opener against the Ravens that we lost

And last week against the Steelers.

The 4 wins were against the Bills (3x) and Miami 1x

Im not sure who else we beat but we have at least 2 loses without Revis (Ravens + Steelers)

It's simply a statistical anomaly. Anyone can see we are a worse team without Revis. We have been so far this year, at least. And it's this year that counts. It's this year's team we're interested in.

It is what it is, just a stat. Do you honestly believe the Jets are still going to be a top contender without Revis?

Without Revis, this defense is average, and without an elite defense, its hard envisioning a serious playoff contender.

Just imagine, how do we match up vs the Pats WITHOUT Revis? We struggle doing so with him, no try and do it without the best defensive player in the league.

All i gotta say is thank god we didnt trade Kyle Wilson to the Colts. That would of been 10x more horrible right now.

I understand what a special player revis is,but if our season is done because we lose a corner? then we werent contenders to begin with

Hes a top 5 defensive player

We were a wildcard team, and without Revis that would probably knock us down from a 9/10 win team to a 6-8 win team

And thats just cuz of how easy our schedule is

Were the Jets serious contenders with him? Did the defense look elite at all this year with him?

that's because revis island during practice continues on into their games and messes with the offense's psyche... when they hear he's out, they play better... :eek:hmy:

Did anyone think the Jets would allow over 365 yards per game?
Or 446 yards rushing through week 3 good for 28th in the league at 4.6 YPC.

Defense has been mediocre at best and the offense.....well that shit show speaks for itself.

yeah, but if our O could be counted on to score points and keep the D off the fie;d this wouldnt be as much of an issue. we need revis more, because the rest of the team cannot be counted on. that is more of a problem than losing any player other than a starting qb

The Jets can still win 9 or 10 games with some luck and they weren't getting there without some luck even with Revis.

It's probably still 8-8 but who knows?

Our defense is definitely still in the top 10 bro. We have arguably the best defensive mind in the NFL in Rex Ryan. Our secondary is still very good even without Revis. Cromartie is one of the top CBs in the league and Wilson is one of the best young CBs in the league. Our LBs dont suck at all. Harris is a fucking beast and Bart Scott still has some good football left in him. And I truly believe that our DL will get much better as the season goes on. Our DEs are both extremely young but both have a seriously high ceiling and they are only going to continue to get better. and Pouha holds down the nose like nobody's business. Not too shabby at all so dont get all bent out of shape
