I made it a point to visit some Dolphin forums this weekend to see what they were saying about the impending game, and unsurprisingly saw a number of threads dedicated to Tony Sparano's love of a 3 point score. Dolphins fans just hate Sparano for liking to put 3 points on the board when his offense doesn't get the job done with 7, and celebrating the 3 points with a fist pump. They mocked Tony Sparano with many different threads making fun of his celebration. The Jets just won with an unimpressive field goal after the Phins missed two of them. The Phins may have even outplayed the Jets today... So... Now... We get to see what happens when the Dolphins fans don't get that meager 3 points. Twice, even. Carpenter robbed the Phins of victory twice by not giving them that pathetic 3 points that they hate. FIST PUMP

For no good reason, I've been "charting" plays, in a way, so far this season. Nothing complex, just pushing a token one way for a positive play for the Jets and pushing it the other way for the opposition. Positive play is as follows: 40% of needed yards on first down. 50% of needed yards on second down. first down or points scored on third/fourth down. any kick awarded points 40+ net on punts. 25 yard line+ on KO returns. Jets were +15 against Buffalo. Jets were -11 against Pitt. Jets were -13 against Miami.
