Well we know two things so far. We know the Jets cannot beat the Pittsburgh Steelers under any circumstances, and we know by inference that the Jets cannot beat the Denver Broncos either because the Steelers lost to them last week.

So as of right now there are two possible AFC playoff teams that the New York Jets have positively no chance of beating should they make it to the postseason. We know this and it's only Week 2...

Not a reality I really felt like waking up to this morning thank you.

lol that makes no sense dude
losing to a team doesn't make you automatically worse than every team that beat them, especially when you're playing without your best player

also why do we have no chance of beating the steelers in the postseason? in 2010 we lost 45-3 to the pats and beat the shit out of them in the divisional round

After losing two AFCCG in a row the worst loss of Rex era is a week 2 regular season game that leaves Jets tied with Pats @ 1-1 ?

We beat the Bills in Week 1. The Bills beat the Patriots in Week 3 in 2011. The Patriots beat the Dolphins in Week 4 of 2010 and the Dolphins beat the Bears in Week 13 of 1985.

We should therefore beat the Chicago Bears in the 1985 Superbowl. However, the recently deceased Walter Payton can probably still outpace Bart Scott through the middle for significant yardage.

Inference doesn't work in football. This was from 2011. [IMG]

I think the OP overreacted, and "worst game" of the Ryan era is not really a useful metric.

But I feel his pain. After a pre-season of ineptitude on O, the Jets gave us all a huge lift against Buffalo, making it appear they may well have been keeping a wrap on a new fired up O while the D was making picks and totally frustrating Buffalo's passing attack. The poor stats in the second half may have been, we could tell ourselves, simply because the game was out of reach for Buffalo, anad the Jets were in some form of prevent.

All that seems like a distant memory today. It may not have been the worst game, but it was quite a fall from the hopes after opening day.
