I like it this way. Like I said this season has a 2006 feel to it, most so called experts had us winning 6 games at most, but we ran the tables and won 10 games. I feel we can do that this year. Hopefully with better results if we make the playoffs.
Who cares what other people think? I think I'd prefer our team be consistently under rated than to come off like the Giants. Keeps the band-wagon fans away, and makes the wins even sweeter.
Sure it's nice to hear people say good things about you team. But as long they win, i couldn't careless
Those who were around for the '98 season remember the craziest bandwagon ever. I even remember "Giants Fans" jumping on board due to Parcells. I remember when it hit a peak during the Jets home game vs the Falcons. Haven't seen anything like it before or since. (I'm sure '68 has it beat, but I wasn't alive then)
Honestly,we were shit last year. I think our Jets need to win more than 1 game to get the type of praising you are looking for. I love Rex,but after shooting his mouth off for 2 years,he kind of bullseyed us for critics.
Well don't you know the Jets are frauds, hell the Bills really weren't that good after all. Even though all the " experts" had them as the most improved team in the AFC all offseason. An what does it matter that the Jills are up 21 zip on KC, they suck worst then Bills do, so you have to know the Jets really suck. We will know better tonight about 8PM just what we have, win or lose!!!!!
I think sports back in the '60s was majority bandwagon. The NFL wasn't around for adults to have established fandom backgrounds and many of the current older crop of Jets fans started being fans of the Jets because of Joe Willie Namath.
"wat ya think the cheers are anything special? Deyre awful. Da bills beating up awn an awful teem jus means day they're not as terrible as the cheefs, ok?! So, ov cawse I'm still right, da Jets win wuznt cuz dey played well, it's cuz dey beat da lowly bills, ok?!"
Nah, all we're hear about is how this Steelers team is a lot weaker than in previous years (Bad OL, aged defense, Harrison/Polamalu out) and how the Jets still haven't passed the true test.
I like it this way. Watching the same talking heads that had us 4th in the division, calling us clowns, on and on now eating their words....slowly of course as the NY Jet Football Club gains momentum.
My brother has been a Jet fan since the mid 60's. He won't listen to talk radio. Victories bring respect and as a Steeler fan don't give a rats ass what other people think. Good luck today and may the best team win.
