cutler sacked on the first CHI offensive play. 2nd and 21 or so, so they run it into the line twice. Great plan. And then of course a punt.
blown call gives GB first down GB challenges claiming CHI had 12 on field, they didn't, but it was ruled they did, GB gets a first down instead of 4th and 3
Haven't watched the whole game, but it seems like Cutler's been under heavy pressure all game and has almost no time to throw.
he has been under pressure, but a good portion of the blame goes on him for making some awful decisions and running into several sacks
Cutler was bad, the line was bad, and the receivers were bad (Marshall dropped an easy TD, the receiver didn't come back for the ball on one of the INTs). There's a message there for any of the 40-point first week teams (including the Jets) - things change dramatically from week to week in the NFL.
Actually they did, Mike Mayock is just an idiot. It isn't when the ball leaves the center's hand but when the center moves the ball. So it was a full step earlier, when he was just barely on the field rather than just barely off.
Arte you serious? Were we watching the same game? That was one of the worst OL performance I've seen yet. He was under pressure 18 times, hit 11, and sacked 7. The blame goes on him for that? Last I checked, if this was Sanchez, everyone on here would have been complaining our OL caused Sanchez to throw 4 picks. Now, it's Cutlers fault that he was under that much pressure? Come on man. Yes he made some stupid decisions, but look at the numbers, watch the game. There were at least 3 packers players in his face every snap.
Everyone on here wouldn't be blaming the offensive line for Sanchez making bad decisions, just like everyone on here wasn't doing that last season. Cutler has a tendency to make bad decisions even when he isn't under pressure.
IDK about that. There were many on here complaining about the RT position last year and Sanchez not having enough time. That's why now people are saying that since he has more time, he's making better decisions. Whether he made bad decisions or not is not what I'm getting at. I stated in my last post, that yes he did make some bad decisions, but all you had to do was look at the tape and see why. The guy was scared for his life. It's pretty obvious. The numbers explain a lot.
You didn't say many, you said everyone. You could take a quarter of the regular posters on this site and call it many.
Mayock may be a worse booth analyst than Theisman. That's saying a lot. The guy does a good job with the draft, but he is completely lost calling a game.
Other than the Jets matchup which of the week 2 matchups are people most looking forward to? Lions vs 49ers for me.
I have the Patriots this week in my knock out pool so them. I picked Lions week 1 and they squeaked one out for me so I expected the 49ers to thrash them. Ravens at Eagles could be interesting if Vick plays well. Giants Tampa could be good too. Tampa's D looked nice week 1 and the Giants are under a lot of pressure to not lose 2 home games to start the season.
