Big Ben has a way of extending plays when the protection breaks down, which is all the time. Even if we pressure him, it doesn't mean he will go down or make mistakes. We need Revis out there.
No such thing as a mild concussion. Either your brain smacked your skull bruising it or it didn't. For Revis's sake I hope he sits.
Having gone thru having concussions in the past, there are totally differen't degrees of being concussed. So in that case, there very much is a way to be mildly concussed.
So you're saying there is only one degree of bruising? Bruised or not bruised? You can't have a mild bruise or a deep, giant purple and black bruise?
There are multiple degrees of concussions and they effect you in all ways I had one a year and half ago and bright lights and loud noises really shook me up and made me dizzy, I couldn't sleep and it was hard to wake up, mine was far from mild Revis will be under NFL care though so he wont play unless he's cleared by doctors regardless this is a great opportunity for Cromartie, Wilson and Lankster to step up as well as our safeties and LB's
I just saw the hit -- it looks like he BARELY grazed his helmet. It looks so mild even without the helmet I didn't think it'd be a problem. I wonder...given his past 'theatrics'...anyone thinking maybe Darelle is using this to make a 'miraculous' recovery ? Can't hurt with Mr. T. in 6 months.
All of the armchair neurologists need to give it a rest. Every concussion is different -- Revis could be fine on Friday, or he could be out for weeks, there's really no way to tell. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best.
I think having a history with a concussion in it is way worse than saying you heal quickly. Got to be careful with people with concussions. I really don't think its serious at all though it really looks like barely anything happens in the play. I expect him to play Sunday but we will see.
Schefter on Sportscenter just said the expectation is that he should be ready to go next week. Going to do testing this week but it didn't sound too serious according to him.
So you tell all the "armchair neurologists" to give it a rest and then you give us your opinion on the injury. Are you a neurologist or a hypocrite? I guess you could have stayed at a holiday inn express last night too ...
Dunno about that. The NFL doesn't mess with concussions anymore. If you use that word, you can't play basically. They are getting sued about that shit even. We'll see. And Revis is your best player, so you'd miss him. We'll see what happens.
The problem is that if you have one injury, even if the symptoms are not as sever, the risk of another hit causing an even BIGGER injury is exponential. Between Wayne Chrebet and Al Toon this fanbase should be somewhat tuned in to the risk of brain injury, but I guess Revis should just rub some dirt on it. The more time to heal the better, he should sit.
Hope it isn't anything too serious...both in the short term (i.e. doesn't miss a lot of games) and long term (i.e. more prone to them). I doubt this is the first concussion he's ever had though, almost no athlete at any level plays for that long without getting a concussion.
