Sitting here listening to the leader of the free world speak and all I can think about is the game on Sunday. I am so ammmmmped!!! I hope the place is absolutely rocking. Lets put aside all this damn negativity and be 100% behind this team on the 9th because they NEED their 12th man! I will be screaming my head off in the nosebleeds hoping to be joined by everybody else in that building.
Yeah I can't take this anymore! This off season is so OLD its not even funny. I can't take the media and fans constantly bashing the team. I can't take the speculation and scrutiny. I miss good ol' football. We just need to play. It's put up or shut up time. This is the calm before the storm right now.
Who else gets totally queezy inside right before the opening kickoff every year,I feel we have so much to prove this year.
I want Sanchez to be a fuckin beast a prove all his doubters wrong. I'm so sick of him being so disrespected. it's sickening. Lets go baby!
This game is beyond important. We need to come out guns blazing right off the bat.Not only will this game silence many people with a stellar performance, but it will put us on the right track with our first 4 or 5 games. I sense something big happening this year. Can't wait till Sunday!!!!
I'll be up there in the nosebleeds screaming my head off with you - this week has been going by way too slow...
That won't happen. We could win 35-0 and the story lines will be how the Bills aren't who we thought they were, they haven't gelled with all their new players, they had an off week..etc...and the following week the stories will be about how the Steelers aren't the Bills. Win the first 8 and maybe you will shut them up.
First play: play action to greene then roll out to buy time and hit Hill deep down the sideline for 7pts! Would you rather WIN a sloppy game with Mark throwing 3 ints or LOSE a game we dominate on both sides of the ball including offense only to lose at the last second on a fluke play or bad call by the refs?
I was at the US Open yesterday thinking nothing but Jets football in general, this game in particular. It feels like this Sunday is more important than other openers in recent memory but I couldn't understand why. Glad most of you feel the same way. I suppose it's because of all the negative crap we have to hear, and I suppose our own insecurities. They're in Pittsburgh next week so that plays a role here too. Another small factor is the Giants loss Wed. night. I know it's just one game and we should care less what the Giants do, but they since they lost, a win Sunday will make things feel a lot better around here.
That's a tough one. Hmmmm, let me think that over. Wow, it is a real difficult call here... OK, came to a decision. I'll take the W. (This reminded me of the scene in My Cousin Vinny when Pesci has to decide whether to take $200, OR get his ass kicked) ARE YOU KIDDING????
Most so called experts have picked Buffalo to finish ahead of the Jets this season so a big Jet win on Sunday shuts them right up. Also when is the last time the Jets have actually won a football game? Jets lost 3 in a row to end last season and now lost 4 preseason games. It's time to see a Jet Victory already. Thirdly our first half schedule is a ball breaker. If the Jets lose to Buffalo things are just gonna get tougher. Jets need a win badly and we fans need to see a win badly.
Here's a story for those who may not know it and why winning this game won't shut anybody up. The Jets, I believe, started off 10-1 in 1986 and some wannabe broadcaster named Paul Maguire (an ex fuckin kicker from the Bills BTW) said on an NBC pregame show that the Jets won't win another game all year..(it turns out he was right but he had no clue that would happen)..the point is when the media hates the Jets they hate the Jets and a win here or there won't change it.
