It's terms like the circus, that the media are feeding down readers/viewers/listeners minds. SO when you speak to football fans and you say you a Jets fan they automatically think clowns, and circus. Not because it was their thinking that the Jets are a circus but bcuz the media had constantly called them that. Now more than ever we as ppl are thinking less and just use phrases and ideologies you hear on tv and radio. It's quite annoying bcuz you can't have a open or serious convo. As soon as you say I'm a jets fan, the response you get is Something abt Tebow and the circus like atmosphere. Pretty sad...
Go Cowboys! Giants won the SB - got hot in December and the defense played lights out...but they are a flawed team ... even more so this season with so many injuries. If they make the playoffs this season I will be really impressed. They were 9-7 last year...not like they were 14-2 and ran away with the NFC.
