They can, especially when you're not as good as the Green Bay Packers because you are not good enough to have depth on your roster. What is so hard to understand? If the Bills were a good/great team, injuries wouldn't be much of a factor because they'd have good players on their second and third string. But since they're the Bills, it cripples you. I guess this is too difficult for you to comprehend. Are you saying the Bills were a good team, and thus, should have been able to overcome the injuries?
'Since they're the Bills'... that's why they collapsed. Injuries are just an excuse. 'Since they're the Bills' encompasses many different aspects, yet you continue to fall back on the injury aspect. How about depth? Coaching? Living in Canada?
I feel like I'm talking with an 8 year old. I didn't think this topic would be that difficult for you to grasp. Apparently you think the Bills are as good as the Super Bowl winning Packers, and injuries shouldn't have affected their ability to win games, and it is just an excuse. Glad to know a Jets fan thinks the Bills are a super bowl team.
The Bills collapsed because they weren't a good football team. If you took off your red and blue shades, you would see that the ball literally bounced the Bills way in every game for the 1st 6 weeks of the season.
What he's trying to say, even if the Bills had 0 injuries last year, they weren't a playoff team. That's how terrible the Bills are.
You're right, because before the injuries they were 5-2, with both loses coming by 3 points (one of which was to the super bowl winning giants) and they beat the Patriots. But yeah, that doesn't matter.
Nope. I don't think the Bills would even have made the playoffs with a healthy team. Because, like you said, 'they're the Bills'. But you go ahead and believe that 'injuries were the reason for the Bills collapse'.
I think the Bills would have had a better chance to win this game if all the media didn't pick them to finish ahead of the Jets this season. They are being overrated non-stop, while the Jets are being underrated non-stop. Anyone with knowledge of Jets History knows that adds up to a Jets win. Its when the Jets are predicted to do well, they flop.
They are not as good as the packers which is why they won 6 games and looked terrible in the 2nd half. Good teams win games. Back ups are a part of your team and every team has injuries. Stop trying to sugar coat why the Bills suck last year and why this year things will be different.
Bills' wideout Stevie Johnson, first up for Revis on Sunday, has enjoyed the most success against the Jets' All-Pro cornerback. The perception that Johnson, who averaged a relatively modest 79.5 yards in two Buffalo losses last season, somehow owns Revis is enough to make the centerpiece of Gang Green's defense chuckle. "That's the position I'm in," Revis told the Daily News. "The success that I've had is the reason why maybe people criticize me a different way. You just roll with the punches. I'm not panicking over nothing. I know how to play ball. I play great ball. I'm not panicking because a guy got 70 yards."
If anything I thought Marshall was tougher on Revis than Stevie. In the 2nd game though Stevie did catch a bunch of short passes on Revis. Nothing substantial though. If you want to keep throwing at him go ahead.
I love this. I don't know why Stevie Johnson and by extension all stupid Bills fans happen to think he somehow gets the best of Revis??? That perception by them is laughable. He had a decent game by Revis standards against him in game 2 last year that's it. They all seem to forgot a few things - 1. It really wasn't THAT good of a game, were talking about Revis standards 2. He lost the game anyway by dropping a pass right in his hands that could've won it, if you are going to talk shit maybe you shouldn't singlehandedly LOSE the game. 3. Revis shut his ass down the year before and pretty much every time they've ever faced each other. Johnson hangs his hat on that game for some reason and he's had a few things to say about it this offseason. I guess I shouldn't expect anything more from an IDIOT like him but he's making a huge mistake. So far in his career whenever recievers decide to talk down or call out Revis he's responded by being lights out - I expect that this sunday. I know it sounds silly but I think there are times when Revis gets almost bored out there on his island, especially when nothing is thrown his way. The very few times he's gotten beat is when they catch him "sleeping" with a quick slant. Talking smack to him just pisses him off and takes that away completely because he's not going to take anything off.
I agree. Stevie had more success against Revis than most receivers but it wasn't like he dominated him. I think the media bringing it up hurts Stevie. Revis will probably be pissed having to answer questions about it. I expect him to bring his A game and make Johnson a non-factor both games this year.
oh come on. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. You are a Bills fan you probably know more than anyone. After last year's game he made comments about being so comfortable on Revis Island he's thinking about buying beachfront property or whatever. Before matching up with Revis he's made comments that they should throw to him and not be afraid of Revis yada yada. Don't act like Stevie Johnson has never had anything but high praise from Revis.
If he actually said that, I think that's pretty funny lol. But the whole "throwing to him thing," that's not trash talk. Every offense says that before they play the Jets. I think if you go in with a gameplan of ignoring your best receiver just because Revis is on him you are severely limiting your offense and sending a bad message to your players about whether you believe in them to execute. That's nothing. But the beach comment I'm unaware of. That would definitely be trash talking, lol.
