Clearly Hunter is killing us. It may be wise to bring back Kareem McKenzie for the season as a stop gap until we can find a permanent replacement.

    I'd settle for Sherman Plunkett

He sucked last year, but if he's still in playing shape then I'm all for it.

The Jets should add as many warm bodies at RT as possible in the next two weeks, there's just no way that an upgrade over Hunter doesn't exist out there.

I think McKenzie would be an upgrade even at age 33.

McKenzie was plain terrible last year, at least Wayne had a few games where he played decently. Not to say we shouldn't improve the RT spot, we need to make some sort of move, I'm just not sure Kareem is ghe answer.

I don't care if Kareem Mckenzie has been doing nothing all offseason but scarfing Krispy Kremes by the dozen, he'd still be an improvement over Wayne Hunter. The Giants won a Super Bowl last year with him at Right Tackle.

I agree. Just Give Howard all the reps and see if he can at least block somebody. If that doesn't work, may have to shift Slauson to RT and Vlad to LG.

    i mean this completely seriously...

i would take any single RT in the league and consider it an upgrade over Hunter...He is literally the worst player at his position in the league and its an absolute joke that on 8/19 he is slated as our starter.

McKenzie, Howard, Ducasse anyone...Plug them in and lets roll.

I thought Howard played much better against Cincy than Hunter against the Giants (not saying much). The Bengals aren't slouches on defense either. Just anyone someone, please demote this motherfucker

I give Howard the start this coming game. We have to see what we have in the kid and what better time to do it then in the 3rd preseason game.

We know Hunter sucks, we accomplish nothing by starting him against the 1st this week. In fact, maybe put him in against the 2s to build his confidence.

TurkJetFan not a bad idea to start Slauson at RT and Vlad at LG

    Desperation question.

But where is the downside in pushing moore outside and letting vlad/slauson inside.

I mean with this man blocking scheme vlads stregnth would probably be more suited inside and his slow feet wouldnt be as much of a liability.
