    This. Add in Steelers, and Ravens are teams that want to run the ball through you and not WC teams, better to have the Jets try to emulate that.

    when bradford puts up big numbers this year then what will you say?
    schottenheimer was a convenient scapegoat more than anything else...
    bradfords numbers will dwarf sanchez's this year

    OK, but why share a personal conversation with a fellow coach? If they weren't gonna use the wildcat anyway, which Rex also said, there was really no need to even bring it up.

    Because it effectively highlights the point that Rex has repeatedly made, which is that running the WC forces teams to spend a good amount of time practicing to defend it. Think about, what says that better than "hey, he called me and asked me not to run it".

    If Lewis really asked Rex not to run the WC it was most likely tongue and cheek compliment to what Rex has planned for the WC this year. They were both laughing when is was brought up.

    Lewis couldn't give a rats ass either way.
