Was pleasantly surprised about a lot of things in this article and it gives me even more hope for the upcoming season. Sparano ran the run and shoot at Boston U? never would have guessed that one.
Nice article. Thanks. Parcells MO was pass early, run late. In other words, score some points then run out the clock. So I do expect that the Jets will throw the ball. And if the defense doesn't do its part, they may just throw a lot.
And we all know that paying attention to details is something that is impossble for you to do at any time, let alone understanding the intricacies of those details. Pssst, btw, I went ahead and hyperlinked to the definition so it'll be easier for you to look up.
I wouldn't read into what Sparano says considering he will do something different come game time... I can almost guarantee there will be a "Fire Sparano thread" here by week 3 that will at least go 120 pages deep...True Story
Yes, but nobody will notice it because the START TIM TEBOW!!!!! thread will go to 120 pages by the third day of it's existence.
There is going to be an Upheaval this year in the run game department. We do not truly have a number one running back on the roster. When a back play second fiddle to the main ruining back on the roster for a few years he seldom can emerge from the shadows. Green put up a thousand yard; but barely. I think we will have some success running the ball , but nothing off the chart like09. We better figure out our identity and put forth an effort that reflects that identity.
Holmes Hill Schillenz Kerley Keller is really not that bad of a receiving corp, probably middle of the pack All depends on how shitty the oline plays
I find it interesting the Sparano was at BU in the 90's. Though they are a perennial national hockey power, BU hasn't had a football team since 1997 But in the late 40's and early 50's had a program that was on a par with BC and played teams like Maryland and Syracuse on a regular basis. In I993 (when Sparano was there) They had a couple of good teams that played in the division 1AA playoffs. They had a home game that I attended with some BU grad friends. The QB was a Doug Flutie midget clone (IIRC his name was Robert Dougherty) who was very prolific. However what made me make this post was that BU won that game in a double overtime against Northern Iowa, whose QB was ...... Kurt Warner.
Son I know more about football then u ever will. How many years did u play?(I played 27 years) How many years did coach? (I have been coaching high school for 7 years. 1 state championship as assit HC and 1 as a HC)
