Austin Howard didn't look like dog shit. In my book that makes him serious competition for the starting RT spot.
Wow we looked like shit. I was hoping to see our Defense just dominate, and sadly, it didn't feel like it. I was hoping to see sparks from our offense and instead all I felt was the offense having the same effect its always had: struggling. Bright spots: Coples. He looked like he played really well. I even liked some of our 2nd stringers like Jordan White who looked good returning. I liked Trufant even though that one catch against him was for 10+ yards it was good coverage. Kickers, love our kickers, wish we could keep both.

The absolute best part of our offense was getting to the line of scrimmage with more than 3 seconds on the play clock. It always pissed me off that under Schotty, our quarterback would get to the line and look pressed to get the play off in time.
Which recievers did Sanchez play with besides Turner? He's the only one that was targeted I believe. With Tebow I saw Schillens, Hill and Mcknight get some targets. I think Mcnight looked good, and Coples looked decent. I love that Coples got a lot of time in the game. He could certainly use it. Too many people out with injuries to judge for sure. Man, told you the Bengals were gonna get steam rolled. 3 injuries in the first 2 possessions.
i looked for 3 things and overall was happy. i looked for coples and was clearly happy with him, i looked for stephen hill and was happy with him, and i looked to see if mark sanchez was making smarter decisions (which i think he was, it didn't look like he was forcing things). i think you guys are taking this way too seriously, like its preseason players don't give two shits if their spots are set in stone. like aaron rodgers went 2/8 and drew brees went 1/4. the browns once went 4-0 in preseason and then had one of the worst records in football, stop looking into this so deeply, the jets will be good this year. also as my final point, i'd much rather the jets fuck up in preseason than the regular season
Sanchez had two incompletes to Jordan White and a complete to Connor in addition to the 3 completes to Turner.
People chill out. It was the 1st PRESEASON game. I didn't see it but it not like the starters played much.
I missed the passes to White. Could you tell what happened on them ? Was it on White ? Should he have caught them ? Could he have caught them ? How were his routes ?
I think the first one was thrown low but White got his hands on it as he was sliding. The other I can't recall.
Thanks. I'm really interested in White (based on his college performance) and am hoping that he gets a chance and steps up.
