Sanchez played hurt most of the year, we lost mangold, our top backup Ol was already out for the year. Slasuon was playing basly hurt all year, Greene missed time, Kerley mised time so we had some injuries on O. Your injuries really started piling up after that awful stretch where you were getting killed every week. As far as Fitz, as bad as Sanchez was last year he threw more TDs, less INTs, led O to more pts and team to more wins. I like Fitz, I think he's a great backup or a good hold the fort type of guy. I don't know if he's a playoff QB, he needs to prove that. Maybe he does this year? we'll see. week 1 is a great chance to start well for both teams but not a killer for the losing team, I think it may come down to week 17.
I don't. I want to get off to a good start. Starting the season 0-1 isn't a death sentence by any means but I want to start the year off with some momentum and get the good feelings flowing again.
Not me. By week 17, Bills will be irrelevant. Another easy game on the road it will become. (Or that's what I hope.)
Yeah, and they said that about Buffalo in the early 00's and look what happened. I'm glad everyone thinks we're going to suck this year, when we beat them and finish the year with a good record and playoff birth all the mouthbreathing knuckledraggers' heads are going to be so full of fuck that they'll need buckets for all the jizz that will be pouring out of their ears after the Jets skullfuck them to completion.
You want 'footsteps'? I'll give ya footsteps..... (I can just see it now): speedy, lil' undersized Maybin zipping around the edge and nailing F-patrick.
Maybin is nothing more then a one trick pony, a quick outside speed rusher who can not get inside and bull rush OLinemen. He won't sneak up on anybody this year, as teams will be prepared to stop his outside speed rush.
You either didn't read what I wrote about PFF's grading or you're desperately clinging to something to try and find an excuse for Fitzpatrick flopping. The Bills' OL may not play again at the same high level this year (they certainly didn't in 2010 and I'd venture they end up closer to that year's quality in 2012 than 2011's), but given the amount of pressures they gave up, with the nature of the pressures/lack of pressures accounted for, their OL somehow performed at very quality level in pass pro in 2011 compared to what other teams ran out there. Scheme/system perhaps did play a factor, but that's not anything uncommon and it doesn't undo what actually unfolded; it just means players were put in a position to succeed/best suited to what the group consisted of.
Fred Jackson won't be as good as last year either. He played very well until he got hurt but he is what 30 or 31 now. He won't be that good again.
Just turned 31. He does have low mileage on his tires though. Could be worse for the league if CJ ends up starting, he started to look real good in the last few games. He had a couple of games out of his 5 or so starts where he averaged over 7 ypc. Guy is good, fast, good hands and has worked hard on his blocking and added a lot of upper body muscle in the off-season.
This is crap Junc, how can you try and play the "injury card" with the Jet's offense last season. Your team was remarkably healthy relative to the rest of the league. The Pats lost 32 starters games on just the OL alone last season. The Jets lost just 2 and couldn't function during those 2 games. What about Fitz's broken ribs that he played half the season with. What about all the starters they lost in the backfield and OL. The Jets had NONE of these problems, and yet you continue to make a flawed, whinny, defense, where there IS no defense. Sorry, boss, but you'll just have to fall back on those 2 Jetfan fall back excuses. Its all Shotty's fault, and Sanchez is a young QB and all his faults will just disappear in time.
This is funny Joe, but it still doesn't change the situation. The Bills are unfortunately for real. If Jet fans don't see it, believe me, most Pats fans take them very seriously. BTW- congratulations of finding the first known pictures of Ray Ray. That was EXACTLY how I pictured him.....or is that SG3?
I'm not playing the injury card but if Fitz can use the excuse why can't Sanchez who likely had a concussion early in the year and had a stinger late in the year? He asked who was hurt on the Jets offense, I responded. Who were all these Pats OL that went down?
What makes Mario especially dangerous in Buffalo is that he has 3 pals to help him -- Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams, and Mark Anderson/Shawne Merriman -- so double-teaming any of them is going to leave the other three guys one-on-one unless teams use an extra TE, a FB/HB or keep in their RB in to block. It's going to take a stout OL to keep the Bills DL off the QB, plus good blocking skills players, and the Jets don't have that. They have Wayne Hunter at RT. They have Shonn Greene at RB. They have Justin Keller at TE. Oh, yeah, and the Jets propose to play Tim Tebow at HB sometimes ... hmy: If Tebow set up as the HB and attempted to block the Bills DL, it might end the season for both the Jets' QBs on one play.
