Say what up to Petter Jackson for me. Tell him The Hobbit trailer looks great, and Misty Mountain Cold gives me cold chills. Oh yes, back on point. We do all remember what NFL stands for right? National Football League, it will never happen. The logistics of playing a west coast team and a London team would be insane. The only way they could do it would be to have the west coast teams play the Brits in an east coast teams stadium. then look at all the other problems that would crop up.
Found some information on how to get Game Pass in the US using a UK VPN service. Costs about $70 for 6 months of VPN usage plus the cost of Game Pass. Can't post links yet though.
Probably has more to do with the NFL's obsession to market overseas. Thankfully, Euros will help us yanks by hosting illegal content.
Gamepass in Brazil is cheaper than UK, just fyi. Also, you can get an entire year of hidemyass.com VPN for $60 (http://www.hidemyass.com/vpn/). I also have instructions on how to do it using Amazon.com EC2, which is supposed to be much cheaper, but the whole process seems more complicated and less user-friendly. EDIT: Also, I believe UK Gamepass has some restrictions (i.e. certain games not available), which is not the case with Brazil. Not sure about that though.
Can someone let me know, more specifically, how to do this? I'd really like to use Game Pass this year but I live in the US.
I haven't done it yet, but the basic steps would be to do the following: 1. Sign up for a reputable, reliable VPN service, such as one of the following (http://www.hidemyass.com/vpn/, http://strongvpn.com/packages_usa.shtml, https://www.astrill.com/pricing.php). I have experience using HideMyAss, and am very happy with it. However, Astrill looks very attractive if GamePass is indeed free in New Zealand. Astrill is the only VPN service that I have found to have servers there. 2. Install the software package that your VPN service provides. 3. Connect to a server in whichever location you want NFL.com to see as your location. In the hidemyass interface, it is as easy as this 4. Go to NFL.com/gamepass. It will recognize your fake location, and give you pricing and availablilty accordingly. Sign up. Disconnect the VPN if you want. 5. When you are ready to watch a game, connect your VPN to the same location that you were using before. Log in to GamePass, start streaming. From what I understand, you should be able to disconnect your VPN as soon as your GamePass account connects and starts streaming. If you disconnect too early, it might prevent you from accessing the stream. If you leave the VPN connected, it will work fine, but might slow things down a little bit.
Wow if this could work, especially at the New Zealand price of free I would love to get this for preseason games.
You're right. If a game is being shown on our satellite broadcaster, Sky, you can't watch it on Gamepass live (you can watch after the game has ended). This is no big deal for some, but for others, the Sky coverage is so awful it is an issue. I fall into the latter camp. You also cannot watch any playoff games on UK Gamepass because Sky shows them all.
So, I discovered that they also offer it for free in Amsterdam. Since I already have a HideMyAss subscription, and they have Amsterdam servers, I signed up. I am currently watching NFL Network through my GamePass account, so yes, it does seem to work. Also, I have to take back my recommendation to sign up for Astrill. I looked into it further, and found their user reviews to be lukewarm. HideMyAss has very good reviews, and has been simple to use and reliable for me so far. StrongVPN also has good reviews, but I am not sure about their server location options. NFL.com says the following in its terms and conditions about free access: So, do this at your own risk.
Looks like the 3 free countries are Argentina, Amsterdam, and NZ . *NFL Game Pass is being offered for free in your territory. The availability of free access to NFL Game Pass is not guaranteed and may be terminated by the NFL at any time. Certain restrictions apply. NFL Game Pass is only available to users located outside the United States, Mexico, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, and any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths. For a full description of device-specific features, requirements, limitations, and other information, visit our FAQ. That's one thing to be careful about though, their ability to terminate it at any time. I also just read that regular NFL game pass subscribers only get 20 coaches film plays a game, full coaches film requiring NFL Game Pass Season Plus.
Heres a stream for tonights game, I swear its HD quality, im completely shocked. http://atdhenet.tv/41256/watch-nfl-network
