This. Times a hundred. He..like the rest of the NFL thinks there will be trouble brewing between the whole Sanchez vs Tebow situation. I mean it isn't so farfetched to have that worry in the back of your head wondering if Rex & Co. will start Tebow after consistent pressure if Mark fails to have a good year. He complimented both Qbs but just mentioned there might be tension, which considering the constant media scrutiny and the Tebots -- he's probably right. He's a human being, and he's allowed an opinion, the guys a Bears fans, I'm surprised he's even commenting on the Jets to begin with.
Banal and largely irrelevant political banter aside, you know the Jets are the biggest buzz team in the league when the president is talking about them in an election year. Everyone latches onto this team for good or bad.
The Jets will simply make Obama wrong about something else. He has'nt gotten much else right so why should we expect him to be right about the Jets.
"Sanchez is not Tom Brady yet, but he led them to the playoffs two years in a row. I think Tim Tebow seems to be a wonderful young man, and he's got just a great winning attitude. He really steps up when things count ... But there's going to be a lot of tension in that situation, so it'll be pretty interesting to see how it plays itself out." ~~~ Very accurate. No problems here. The dude does know sports.
Being an European, i have a lot of time for your president (for once), and i see no probs with what he said.
This wouldn't have anything to do with Woody Johnson donating a ton of money to Romney would it? Of course it would.
I believe Obama has inadvertently guaranteed us a Super Bowl. :breakdance: We all know how he is at predicting shit.
Yeah. It didn't say anything about Obama hating the Jets since he grew up a Steelers fan (and became a Bears fan later on). Media and this message board is skewing this all over the place. We all know that he can have an opinion, but this is an election year and the news media can be very ugly during that time.
