quite possibly, that does not automatically mean you need to wallow in as well. I expect better of you
his qbr was actually better than I thought it would be. Judging from some peoples comments I expected a negative QBR
QBR scale is 0 to 100; i.e. negative number is impossible. Then again, with Tim Tebow, anything is possible.
It was supposed to be a joke, and espn qbr is awful. I thought you meant nfl qb rating not that either goes negative
Tebow won football games and Tebow's team beat the steelers in the playoffs. Those are the only statistics that matter.
Tebows team lost football games and Tebows team lost to the Patriots. Those are also statistics that matter.
Oh, never mind, there are moron fan on every team, like booing A Luck on his first practice. Agree with SI Jets fan. True fans root for the team and wish the best for every player
LOL, Vandy you have been missed, it was like shooting fish in a barrel while you were away, good to see you posting again.
2011 was his first real stretch of playing time in the NFL. Tebow played on a lousy team in which the coaching staff didn't believe in him, handcuffed, and put him in tough situations before being forced to let him play at the end of games. I watched game after game of : handoff, handoff, third and long. Very few 1st down pass attempts. Tebow struggled with the 3rd and long situations. This led to the low qbr. That being said, Sanchez's wasn't much higher, and he played with a better supporting cast. It was also his third year of starting in the league. Fact is both of their QBR's stunk. But if you play the excuse game, Tebow has much more ammo in that dept than Sanchize. After 3 years of starting you are getting close to your ceiling.
I wish I could find the thread where I spent time discussing this myth of run, run, pass. I believe I went through 2 games, a win and loss, and it really wasn't run, run, pass as everyone loves to say. It also has to take into account that a run from Tebow might be him bailing on a pass play or choosing to run over pass. The supporting cast, specifically the defense, is such a weak argument. Tebow's defense was good, but it was very good when they were on. Not going to go through this argument again, I stated it way back when. I believe 17ppg or less with multiple key turnovers. Sanchez has more ammo for excuses. Tebow has 0 expectations coming in with Sanchez having elite expectations coming into last year. And then of course Schottenheimer. We will see this year what he forgot to bring to the table, but I think Schotty was worse than the Broncos coaches who scrambled midseason and tried to install plays into the playbook to help Tebow. Schotty tried to fit circles (his players) into square holes (his system) instead of taking his system and making it a circle so the players could fit. EDIT: Just realized I wasted this time writing to a banned poster. Well that's frustrating.
Its because the "total QBr" is completely subjective. It is not a stat. Its a german ice skating judge. You can't take the game's statistics plug them into a formula and get a total QBr. They rate it based on what they *feel* the qb added to the offense. Here's from the wiki entry on it. "an analysis of each play" Basically they sit their analysts down and have them come up with bogus numbers to drive the story they're trying to tell. Total qbr is one of my pet peeves as its LITERALLY spin doctoring, being reported as if its statistics.
Just for the record... this is not "fake news". It is a copy of a tweet directed at Steiny31, quoting him and adding their own comment. I am new to twitter and left the twitter poster out. My bad. This morning I tried to go back and find the original tweet, but search will not go back that far for me. At any rate, there have been multiple articles about both Tebow and Sanchez being heckled at camp. I do not have an agenda and I do NOT make stuff up.
Found it. Learning more about Twitter every day. EFRAIN RIVERA @ebann5 “@Steiny31: Sanchez just overthrew Hill. Crowd disappointed. #NYJ” and the tebowites scream "bench him" https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/#nyj @Steiny31 bench
It's fine, SI Jets. I'm sure everyone understands the situation. But without the EFRAIN RIVERA portion of the tweet, it appeared to be a Steiny tweet that you added onto. Welcome back.
Thanks. No worries. Just trying to set the record straight. I am not a liar (implied), do not make stuff up (accused), and do not have "an agenda".
