From Rex's own mouth. You may know this already, but I'm stupid and on my way to work. :breakdance:
How is this ANY different from what Rex and the team have been saying since the day they got him? They have a versatile backup who can run the wildcat. Nothing new here.
As I have been saying all along, Tebow is a better version of Brad Smith. He is not here to take Mark's job. He is here to replace the offense lost when Brad Smith went to Buffalo.
The underlying reason they brought Tebow in is so he can help out with the players' overall high school and college stats.
Actually, bringing him in raises the team's collective QB Rating, seeing as how his is higher than Sanchez's
this can't be right.i watch espn and this is a full blown qb controversy.how naive is rex to think tebow is the back up and mark is the starter.espn and pft surely know better then he does
Rex knows what he is doing and its impact. Tim knows what he is doing and its impact. Sanchez? At the end of last season, not so much. Now? Undoubtedly.
If Mark was the QB of the future, Tebow would never have been brought in. Tebow is Mark's wake up call. Tebow will only help us.
I think getting Tebow could be a big win for the Jets. All you have to do is convince the competition committee to legalize the bounce pass and it's a sure dynasty.
Sorry to be posting this here as it's not really on topic, but can't yet begin threads. ------------------ Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN Rex said he will take a page out of what packers are doing. Putting a clock on qbs because Rex thinks they're holding on to ball too long _________ I'll be interested to see how long Sanchez is holding the ball as none of the media reports have stated this. But then it could be a case of Sanchez looking good, only in comparison to Tebow, who holds the ball for an eternity. Either way, Ryan seems to be really upping the ante this TC as he's moving multiple players into different positions (ie Cromartie at WR) and calling players out publicly for underperforming.
I think the clock he is referencing is a 2.5 second clock that sounds a horn during 7 on 7's it wont tell how long a QB held the ball, just if he held it too long. I don't know that the public will get much out of it. Interesting that the packers are using one though
I was going to say thanks Tebow now we will see a lot of balls hit the ground but we already see that..lol. now I guess we will see a lot of int's. Lol
