Ya kind of left out and ignored the fact that Tebow was saddled with the 1-4 start by Orton. If Tebow had ONLY gone .500 last year, they wouldn't have made it to the playoffs. That's the thing that many of you all ignore. The Broncos flat out sucked as a team, and had for the previous year or two, yet Tebow comes in, takes over as the starter and actually got them to 8-1 after the 1-4 start ? Come on, give the kid some credit. You don't even have to say that he is a good QB or that he will have a long and productive career. Just admit that the kid was thrown into a steaming pile of shit last year and that he managed to do a pretty decent job with what he had.
I wouldn't worry about trying to get some credit out of this guy. Not everyone loves Tebow, so be it. Tebow has already been surveyed as the most popular athlete in America, these guys resent the love he gets. They don't think he has done enough to deserve it, I get that. They just don't see what everyone else sees in Tebow, they have the backing of some very outspoken "experts" , so they feel emboldened with their opinion. What they don't realize is how flawed it shows their character to be so upset about a nice, humble, athlete who gets a lot of love. The effort they display on a Tebowmania forum is mind-boggling. I was taken aback at first by the venom, but then I realized, its New YORK! of course, I love it. I never cared to post or join the Denver Broncos forum. Their apathetic fans lacked knowledge and passion. But the New Yorkers on the other hand are fun! I love New York! I despise the Jets! and Tebow is my favorite athlete. Interesting times indeed....

Its not him i despise..its his uber-fans. They live vicariously through a guy 99% have never spent a single minute with nor ever will, it his fans who make the circus unbearable not Tebow. I have a lot of guys I enjoy seeing play but I don't put them on a pedestal and act like they are the best thing since sliced bread. I love the Mets, I never would have posted Doc Gooden or Darryl Strawberry are unlike anything anyone has ever seen and he will do this and do that and blah blah blah. Yet, despite all the evidence to the contrary, there you guys are rambling on about a nice kid that stinks at QB like he is Manning, Montana, Unitas and Brady rolled into one. I guarantee this, I guarantee that, he makes everyone better just because he is around... its all bullshit fluff to keep them from really watching the kid play his chosen position..poorly. Oh but his intangibles are off the charts!!! Who gives a rats ass, how about some accuracy? Intangibles and $2.50 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks but it wont get you much time on an NFL field. ITS YOU WE HATE. Not Tebow.
And that's so much better. Sometimes in life one needs to step away from the keyboard and take a break from the internet. There seem to have been zero real-life incidents involving this so-called "Tebow circus" actually making it difficult for a team on the field. Upon closer inspection, the "Tebow circus" is a label used by a bunch of internet warriors for tweets and posts, and possibly pundits on ESPN. Relax. You can't hide in the NFL. If Tebow sucks as bad as you say, it will all be over soon. He'd be six feet under already (figuratively speaking) if he didn't have an annoying tendency to come up big in key moments last year.

So yeah it was real and annoying as hell.
Those weren't "Tebots". Rather, that was the voice of freaking DENVER FANS who were tired of Orton's SUCKAGE. They were talking about the prior to the season starting based off what they saw from Tebow in the last 3 games of the 2010 season. What they saw was PROMISE. What they saw was a chance to no longer SUCK. Orton's compiled a whopping 3-10 record in 2010 before being replaced. In the last 9 games of 2009, he was 2-7 That's 5-17 over the past 2 seasons. Adding them all up, it comes to 6-21 when he finally got replaced. If Sanchez did that, you don't think the NY Fans would be screaming for whomever the backup was ?

You guys can give up. The real truth is that Tebow's popular with all sorts of folks, but the ones who have the biggest problem are the ones that assume it's only about Christianity (because they've got some sort of hang up about it). It comes down to them looking to make the worst of it, looking for the worst in people. They'll go on Twitter and watch a few 13-year-olds pine for Tebow, and then just assume every fan is a 13 year old girl. And so on. It's the human brain -- we're wired to process things in terms of "us" and "them," and people that hate Tebow are segmenting the world into different categories to try and make sense of it.
