Right, they created this subforum so as not to annoy the real Jet fans with all of the Tebow talk, yet we keep hearing over and over from these "real" Jet fans how sick and tired they are of hearing about Tebow, yet they keep doing this in the Tebowmania forum. Kind of like walking into a gym and telling people you are sick of seeing everybody work out. They then try to use it as an excuse to take shots at Tebow. Ive seen this movie before, and it doesn't work out too well for those that hate Tebow.
I guess they did what they wanted to do, but I think this sub-forum is divisive. I mean, I can't support the main Jets forum until/unless they allow people to talk Tebow in there. It's offensive. You can talk about ANYONE else in the Jets forum except Tebow. WTF? So no, I won't be visiting the main forum until the segregation is ended. I'm content to hang out here and not be "bothered" by having to hear about other Jets players I don't really care about. Wish the anti-Tebow crowd would do the same in respect to this forum.
Actually, if you're a Broncos who fan who hates Tebow, then I'd say it worked out pretty well -- being that Tebow isn't even on the team anymore.
Your not a real Broncos fan if you hate Tebow, they hadn't been to the playoffs for 6 years until they brought him in. You've got to have a lil more knowledge and a lil less hate if you want to hang w/ me in here.
Wow! Playoffs. oooohhh because thats the goal of every NFL team. Go to the playoffs! Yeah! Who cares about winning the Super Bowl we made the playoffs! Huzzah. Crown Tebow the best QB to every play the game at any level anywhere. By the way how was the Patriots game for your boy?
Bud, not one person has said he will be the best QB ever. I do not even like TT, but all they are saying is he can improve and if he does he will be a dang good QB. What is with all the nonsense, every person on TV said he couldnt win, then said he couldnt help them to the playoffs, Etc, etc, etc. Cut the cat a break and see what he can accomplish. If it had only to do with winning Superbowls, many Qb's would be without jobs. Simmer down a tad.
How was sitting at home as a Jets fan, with your season ended, watching Denver play two playoff games last year (winning 1 of them in spectacular fashion) ?? You sound like Merril Hoge now. "He can't win a SuperBowl!!!!!!" Parcells put that idiot in his place by saying "hey, try to get to the playoffs first" or something to that effect (can't find the exact quote right now).
Exactly! Same place we were. At home. he didn't win a thing that mattered did he? Just like the other 31 QB's and their teams. Either you win it all or it means nothing.
Exactly, he just helped he team get further. Why the hate man. I dont think he is a great QB, but a damn good back-up to have around.
Oh bullshit. By that line of logic, Rex and Sanchez both should have been fired as they've had 3 years to win a SB and they haven't. Missing the playoffs this year was a huge regression given that the jets had been to the AFC championship game in the prior 2 years. Given that Denver hadn't been to the playoffs in 6 freaking years, getting there and winning a game was a huge accomplishment, especially for a team that started out 1-4 this year.
It moved the franchise forward. Whether he says it aloud or not, there's no way Peyton Manning comes to Denver but for that winning streak and even playoff success. It showed the team was on the road to contention with Tebow at the helm. If it was still a dumpster fire in Denver, there's no way Manning jumps into it.
Didn't know you could get to the Super Bowl without making the play-offs. Learn something new every day.
I give them 1 more year. We had the defense 2 years ago but we lacked the Passing and Running game. I don't buy into Sanchez either. I think he is a mediocre QB. IF we had had a better QB and an RB that wasnt 4 years passed his prime and a better young RB I think the JETS win the super bowl 2 years ago. Sorry you accept playoffs as some sort of awesome thing. I'm old school. Winning it all is the only thing that matters.
What I accept is improvement. I'm not stupid enough to expect a 4-12 team to turn around in a single offseason and win the Superbowl the next year. Even with some major changes/upgrades, I'd simply expect my team to improve over what they did the year before. The following year, I'd expect additional improvement. Do I want my team to win the SB ? Of course. Will I be unhappy if they don't ? Sure. But will I consider the season to be a failure if they don't? Depends on the situation.
The reason a separate Tebow sub-forum was created was because the number of Tebow threads in the main forum were outnumbering everything else. The subforum created order and allowed the focus of the board to be on the team, not a single player. The difference between Tebots like yourself and us Jets fans is that we come into the Tebow forum and talk about one of the players on the team we support on a board specifically geared toward that team. Yes, sometimes Jets fans speak ill of Jets players (see, e.g. Sanchez, Hunter, Holmes, Scott, Tebow). You all treat the Jets like they are some shitty garnish around Tebow. If you're really that upset about how you're treated on a Jets forum, feel free to start your own all-Tebow-all-the-time forum free of discussion of other Jets.
Yes it totally sucked losing embarrasingly the last three games of the season to finish 8-8. Oh wait Tebow did the same exact thing in Denver. Too bad the Jets didnt play in the AFC West they would've been division champs!!!
How do you figure? They couldn't beat Denver head-to-head. That last drive must have really pissed you off.
That WHOLE game pissed me off. It was some shitty football. I was obviously being hypothetical in which case Denver would've been in the AFC East. Ultimately though the main point is that Tebow is a hero to you girls when essentially he did the same thing Sanchez did, fail down the stretch to finish 8-8. Fortunately for him that was enough to win his shitty division and get a home game against a team that was falling apart. Mark Sanchez wasn't as fortune to have the cards fall that way. But we would have a much different story about Tebow if like most NFL divisions 8-8 wasn't good enough to get in - we'd see a guy who fell apart with 3 chances to clinch his division, two of which were against some poor football teams. (Buffalo hadn't won a game in like almost two months or some shit!)
