What's better than using a podcast as your source? Why, using a quote from a sales rep who is trying to sell PSL's that aren't selling as expected, of course.

And that is not something YOU posted. That was by MadBacker Prime. Where is this source YOU say YOU had?

Whats the difference since the NYJs confirmed it? You have no way of knowing what the NYJs were saying except sheer utter speculation Here is is again

this does not hold up in a court of messageboarding.case dismissed

Sounds dumb but I just emailed my Rep/Sales Manager about this issue.

    His response-

"Correct, it was built so a roof could be added if ever needed/wanted. Reason it wasn’t originally was the $400 million additional it would have cost."

What's the difference? Ummm....that ain't the Jets. That's a minimum wage, fresh out of college sales rep in an instant message answering a question posed by a potential PSL customer. Put it in context. He's trying to sell PSL's that the market does not want. They thought they would sell like hotcakes. Instead, they had to keep slashing prices to get it done.

And the whole point of my question was YOUR source. Where is YOUR source? The only "source" you have is a link to a podcast which you have since backtracked on.

Funny thing is that even if by some act of god they could put a roof on top of it ,,,,,,,,,,,,they would still have to shut all the windows that are currently open,,,,,,,you can see from outside how wide open this place is',,,,,ugh what a wonderful design

But it is "climate controlled." Controlled by whatever the fucking temperature is outside.

The shitty looking venetian blind design on the outside wont allow the place to be climate controlled. The stadium as I see it is TOTAL FAILURE in all angles. Id take the old GIANTS STADIUM back anyday.

I'm overseas and logged into a computer to see if there was anything new going on. You're an annoying prick. I wish they would do on here what they did on JI and ban you. I'm all for people sharing opinions but not for talking people down for their decisions. I'm sure you had several user names on several different boards with your propoganda about this stadium.

You're bitter you're old. I wish people on this board would ignore you so you could just talk to yourself like a broken record.

I dont' like to curse on these boards but GO FUCK YOURSELF and enjoy your 37 inch tv while you jerk yourself off after taking some viagra. While the rest of us might be high up we will still ENJOY ourselves something that you're obviously very jealous of.

Right. And the car salesman at the Ford dealership is speaking for Ford when he's talking about the cars in the lot. They've never, to use a legal term, used puffing to sell a product.

You are acting like Woody Johnson's lawyers are answering instant messages asked by potential PSL purchasers. Child, please.

Since you've refused to post YOUR source that YOU have claimed to have posted (with the exception of the great JetKingdom podcast which you backtracked on), I'll assume you don't have one.

Thought I'd pitch in here since it's a slightly different topic...

Anyone who thinks they'd go back later to add a roof is INSANE. The costs were too much for them then, they'd only be more later. And with what incentive is that money spent? They already got their Super Bowl reward from the league. That would be the only possible reason Jets/Giants owners would dome it - and they didn't have to do it, which was ridiculous. Our only hope for a retractable roof was to host a Super Bowl(s). Didn't matter, so it will NEVER NEVER happen despite what a "rep" says.

While we're at it, I'd have no interest in "dome" but a retractable roof would have, and should have been a great idea. Cold/Hot doesn't bother me but rain and high winds do. It's one thing to brave the elements, but in modern times, with the prices we pay to be there, fans deserve some measure of comfort. Not a sterile environment, but some level of knowing that the $125 per seat spent (or much higher of course) will not require survival skills. (I think this is even more true for baseball, where prices for great seats are so insane, customers deserve some guarantee of decent weather)

Yes, one of the Metlife Stadium disgraces is the lack of a modern retractable roof, and so few sheltered seats. Probably less % covered seats than the previous stadium.

LMFAO....:rofl2: It seems I spoke the truth and you cant handle the truth about the UD seats and how they suck balls. So you then take it to a personal attack that looks like this is allowed here. Go to hell.

With any luck you wont make it back to the USA or a to NYJETS game ever again. Its low life fans and people on message boards like you that hide behind a computer screen and ridicule others. Its called a PERSONAL ATTACK JACKASS.

I ridiculed the stadium and the UD seats never the people sitting in them.

When I do make it to a game and sit in the LL rows off the field, lets meet up and tailgate id like for you to say all that stuff you did in person to my face.......I doubt that happens. Lets see how old I really am and how arrogant you really are.

the shame is i believe the league tells them when they have to leave it open and when they have to close it. if it is not perfect conditions 75 and sunny with no chance of rain or wind the damn thing would be closed.

football should never ever ever be played inside.. ill agree with you a jillion percent on the covered seats though, they are a god send and these fucking idiots with the complete and total lack of them just dont get it.

So go find the source that says I am incorrect, You have not the slightest notion who LBP spoke to you but yet you are belittling that person & LBP to attempt to prove your point. So better you start worrying about what anti depression pills you will be taking after this season is said i& done.

I am not the person posting something as fact stating the stadium is fitted for a roof. You are. So there is no reason for me to find a source. I belittled no one. What I stated was a fact. I KNOW that the ticket office used fresh out of college kids on the instant messages. They would be there until they were more comfortable to actually use the phones.

There's no need for anti depression pills. If the Jets don't make the playoffs or win the superbowl I will not shed a tear. It does not mean I can't be optimistic. You are confusing optimism expressed on this board with expectations. Those are two different things.

I think it is you who needs to take the anti depression pills now as all you do is post the same somber, dejected comments over and over...and always with the  Why so sad Champ? I mean really. Why? Were you always the guy to bring the party down when everyone was having a good time? When someone is telling you how they had a great time at the beach soaking in the sun, do you remind them of the dangers of skin cancer?

MetLife Satadium is not getting a roof fixed or retractable. They are too cheap and dont want to spend the money. Its all about profit here.

Come the Super Bowl if we have wind freezing rain sleet and worse yet snow, those who paid the big ticket prices will scream bloody murder watch and see. Fans who pay the price to watch a Super Bowl dont want to do it dressed like they are going to the North Pole. This will fail miserably if the weather doesnt cooperate.

i hope that super bowl fails miserably, i hope it fucking snows all week and game day is a fuckfest of rain, sleet and snow all over all those douchebags who go and dont even give a damn about the game. fuck them and the nfl for being such morons and playing the superbowl outside in february.

then again i think the superbowl should go to cold cities on a regular basis to keep the douchebag factor down as much as possible.

so i guess i would like for it to be a fuckfest of rain, sleet and snow and have it still be a success and lead to more cold weather outside superbowls. yeah thats my stance on the subject! :)

i have a carhartt thermal and have been frozen in it too many times in december, forget about february... 645 pm start too... oooohhhh even in the best of circumstances its going to be chilly willy.
