Has Sandy Alderson done one thing right for this team so far as GM? The only thing I can think of is the Beltran trade, which won't help us for at least another year. He traded Pagan for two terrible players, signed some horrible relievers. The only positive I can think of is that he isn't the type to make the same kind of trades that were made to get us Zambrano.
Looks like if Harvey pitches well on Monday in AAA, that he will start Saturday against the Dodgers. TC also didn't rule out Wheeler pitching for the Mets this season--which I don't buy at all.
Today was a weird game. He gave up runs in the second after the error and then gave up more after the weird call. I'll give him another start till I say it's over!! In other news, why didn't the Mets call up Edgin 3 months ago?
Yes he had some bad breaks, but he also gave up lots of very hard-hit balls, just like in 3 of his last 4 starts.
What a surprise, the Mets suck again!!! This team isn't going anywhere with this shitty fucking bullpen.
He has made no asinine moves yet. When the money situation becomes better we will see then what big moves they make. All those relievers he signed have short-term deals. Like most teams do, the Mets threw them at a wall and unfortunately none have stuck.
I didn't really like the Pagan trade because Pagan was a good player and a Met for four seasons. Torres is 34 and hasn't had much success. I guess it was really done to help the bullpen with Ramirez, but I'd rather have Pagan.
Slump. There was no way he was going to keep up the pace he was on. If he pitches like he did in 2010 and 2011 the rest of this season, that would be good.
