I'm just interested in seeing some numbers to see how many people are Tebow fans over Jets fans. If you were a Jets fan before the trade, please pick the third option.

Tebow fan over Jet fan, here. I hope the Jets do well and that Tebow contributes to this success.

Have been very upfront about the fact that I came here because of the trade and since Tebow is a Jet, I am a fan of the Jets.

If he were traded tomorrow, I'd be on my merry way. That said, the longer he is here, the stronger and deeper my ties to the Jets will become.

FWIW, I became a Bronco fan after they drafted Tebow and while they aren't my top team any longer, I still hope the do well, unless they are playing the Jets of course (or if a loss by them would benefit us) :)

It all depends -- none of those answers really apply to me. I follow the NFL as more of a general fan. My "real" team loyalties are to college football teams. The NFL is like my ultimate drama.

So if the attachment really "takes," it could be the start of something that lasts 30 years (after all, everybody starts sometime). But if they traded him next week, it would be sort of odd to become a lifetime fan that quickly.

I do it a lot over the years -- I'll follow a player that I like, keep up with his team, and one thing leads to another I'm sort up caught up in everything. Or, one thing does not lead to another and it fizzles out.

It's supposed to be entertaining and enjoyable -- we're all going to die, you know. It's not supposed to be some big deal of "are you with us, or will you leave us cold if Tebow leaves." Not talking about the OP or this thread, but it's really lame and pathetic to read somebody post that -- it's like, "Are you looking for a friend to cuddle with, or is this a sport that we enjoy watching and discussing?"

Much like the above, my loyalties are in CFB. I follow players from the gators all over the nfl, but Tebow is one that is getting me hyped for the upcoming season.

I do not post in the main jets section of this site as I have no real loyalty to the Jets. Not that I couldn't in the future, but let's say that I don't see Tebow sticking around long term.

If I have a team at all it would be the Bucs, as I am from tampa and always rooted for them to do well.

Also, I do not call myself a Jet fan. I will be rooting for them, but that's about as far as it will go.

Was a casual viewer as I don't have a "home team" here in Kentucky and had no deep ties to any other team.

I've been a Vikings fan since I was 10, but I also always like to have an AFC team to support, as long as they don't affect the Vikings.

I grew up in FL and lived there until 1979, but always hated the Dolphins.

Usually the team I support depends on vicinity. In the late '70s I lived in upstate NY, and started following the Jets, largely because that's who was on TV. (Richard Todd days).

Moved to Cody, WY and bought a sports bar in '96 and have a lot of relatives in the Mountain West, so supporting the Broncos was easy, and I always liked the way Elway played QB, so watching him finally win a Super Bowl (and having Broncos fans buying drinks in my bar) was fun.

In 2001 I moved to KC where I lived until 2010, so I jumped on the Chiefs bandwagon.

In 2010, I was literally loading the moving van to relocate to Cheyenne, WY when the Broncos drafted Tebow.

Since I grew up in FL and attended UF, and have an attachment to the Mountain West, I became a full on Broncos fan, to the extent that I would've rooted for them over the Vikings.

Now, I'm back to being a Vikings fan, but will support the Jets as my AFC team.

Don't have any illusions as to whether Sanchez should be the starter, and I don't want him to fail.

I hope that Tebow contributes, gets better as a QB and gets another shot at starting somewhere in a couple years.

I'll never support the Broncos as long as Elway is in the front office, though.

the Te-boneheads will follow their adored Moses into the desert wherever he takes them. They are NOT football fans, they are Saint Timmy fans and next season when he heads home to become the savior of the Jagwires, they will depart en masse with Demosthenes 9 driving his single wide trailer at the head of the march

I am a die-hard UF football fan and alumnus. My NFL team is the Giants.

To say that a Tebow fan is not a football fan is ignorant. I probably watch 8-9 NFL games on Sunday via my NFL Gamepass. Not only that, I am overseas and stay up all night to watch football. I just love the game. Also a fantasy football nut and follow all my players... subscribe to a PAID NFL news service to get all the late breaking news in real time, etc...

Don't tell me I'm not a football fan because I support Tebow and like his style of play.

I admit that I wouldn't give a crap about the Jets if Tebow left... but he is here, and so I am too.

I love football in general, but I am primarily a fan of college football. Free Agency has taken the loyalty out of the NFL in my opinion. That being said I have been Gator fan since I was a kid, and have always followed our former players and their careers into the NFL. I usually continue to pull for them and their continued success (unless they turn into a jerk once they get the money). I think if everyone was honest, especially if you follow college ball, we all have players that we pull for that may not be on our farvorite team. Sometimes because this draws you to watch a particular team more than before, as we follow the careers of our alum. Sometimes you begin to pull for that team (but not all the time), but it depends on the team. That being said I will admit I am not a Jets fan, I am a Tebow fan, however I'm sure I will be pulling for the Jets to do well especially if Tim is consistantly contributing to the team.

Tim is a baller and will prove in time his worth to this team or which ever team he winds up with. He by all accounts by most people who have been around him, is one of the most competitive people they have ever seen. He will not quit on the things that he needs to improve on. He will continue to push himself and improve.

I think he will as well but I hate and he will work hard and continue to push and improve. I sure hope so you do not stay long in the NFL if you don't push to improve.

Tim is not the first and certaintly not the only player that works hard that what pisses people off about Tebow fans like he is the only player that works hard. I like Tebow I like that he works hard but more than that I like his competitiveness and his ability to stay positive even when he is sucking. Ultimately talent is what wins out at the end of the day.

Tebow can and will contribute to the Jets it will just not be as a pocket passer it will be as a runner and a threat to pass.
