The Jets should sweep the fish, but I think y'all are in for a week one reality check in regards to Buffalo.
Bombs?! Not really. Do I have to kiss ass for a predetermined number of posts before the community allows me to voice an opinion? I merely stated that I, personally, think y'all are gettin a lite uppity if you're already writing off week one as a Jet win. Notice my post didnt say "bills rule!! F-you homos!! 51-0!!!!!" or anything like that. My post was rather passive. Discussions are alot more fun when it isn't a group of like minded fans sucking each other off.
I was kidding man!! I agree with you about this forum, that's why I'm here as a Fins fan ... having everyone high five each other about their own team isn't fun. ... the Jets aren't sweeping the Fins this year btw
you will see how easy a win the bills will be come week one. Tell me who on Offense strikes any fear in the bills game planning for them. Your best weapon as of today is teabow. I also believe whoever wins in the trenches wins week one.
This doesn't make sense. If the game will be won in the trenches, then wouldn't offensive weapons like RB, WR, QB be not as important? Also, Jets best offensive player is in the trench, Nick Mangold. On top of that, I truely believe the Jets had less weapons last year and swept the Bills. I don't think lack of weapons is a good saying. Maybe lack of established weapons, like McKnight, Hill, Kerley and even Holmes? Definitely though, that game will be decided in the trenches. The Jets D Line is new and improved, but the Bills also improved their D too. The Bills need to hope Jackson is 100% and the Jets better hope they can establish a run game
The bills interior defensive line vs the jets interior Oline will be a brawl. On the edges, I think the bills have the upper hand. Conversely, with the bills on offense and jets on d, I can't wait to see Glenn vs Maybin.
If I were the Bills, I would focus on moving Mario all around and also have him target in on Wayne Hunter. Should be a good game, but I think it would be an upset if the Jets lost in NY on opening day ... although I wouldn't be necessarily shocked either way
Mangold vs Kyle Williams is a draw, IMHO, and I think Dareus becomes an elite DT this year(he was last year, without the recognition). Dude is gonna be all but unblockable. Mario/Anderson/Merriman vs the Jets' tackles is gonna get ugly. Fast. Really, I'm not worried about a single offensive player the jets have. Greene can grind out yards, sanchez isn't even remotely consistant, and outside of Holmes, the WR corp is in as rough shape as the bills' is.
This is incredibly off topic, but you've piqued my interest. I agree. However, who on the Bills Offense should scare the Jets defense? Your injured RB? Fitzharvard? Steve Johnson? I think Revis will want to prove a point week 1. Offensively, I think we are at a draw. The game will go to the best defense and, as you say, the best play in the trenches.
CJ Spiller more than proved himself as an explosive RB, Jackson is healed(it's a broken bone which heals faster than a ligament tear). We have the best RB tandem in the AFCE, possibly AFC and are widely considered a top 5 combo in the entire NFL. Stevie has Revis' number. Stevie isn't the biggest, strongest or fastest, but he's one of the best in the game at beating press coverage. Revis is frickin awesome, I'll concede this. It'll be a great prime time matchup for certain. The season hinges on Fitz' play. YouTube that hit London Fletcher put on him, it's easy to see why Fitz play fell off dramatically afterwards. He's good enough for the system the Bills run. Health is the key.
I find it hard to believe that any Jets fan can honestly say we have a better offense than the Bills. We have no rbs, our wrs are questionable and we don't have a qb on the roster who can throw the ball down field. That said even with all the defense the Bills added and a superior offense they can't shake their loser culture. Worst case scenario we split the series this year.
You have to know the Jets will go 19-0 because we want it more and we finally have a player that knows how to win no matter what. At least that's what I'm told...
And this unfortunately is why it is hard to be Jets fan at times. Stop being a homer and have a realistic conversation about football or expletive yourself outta here!
Werent the Bills supposed to knock the Jets out twice last year? Is this the year we sweep the Phins? Hopefully....
lolwut? Give him some receivers who can give him a deep threat and get separation, and he can get it downfield. Don't blame the lack of separation on the WR's last season on Sanchez. (Though I'm not saying he's a threat to be feared of...just that he CAN throw a deep ball, all we need are the right WR's)
