The Pats will not miss a beat with Solder at LT.

And yea, Lloyd, Branch, Gaffney and Welker are terrible receivers.

Pats will once again easily win 13 or 14 games this year.

Lloyd, Branch and Gafney are average rec at best. Welker is a great slot receiver. Light will be missed.

I wonder why the pats don't use ochocinco more. On paper he's the best guy on that roster. If you can produce in cincinatti you should be able to produce in NE. Fuck if they dont want him id take him. Imagine Holmes and Ocho wide, with Hill in the slot. McKnight in the backfield.

I'm not a Lloyd fan by any means. But he's a lot better than average. Not sure why, but hoodie jr does know how maximize Lloyd's talent.

    (trying to get 10 posts......)

Sorry but i think ocho is at the end of the rope, the pats can keep him i think we are better with the holmes and hill duo than the holmes ocho duo, thats just my opinion.

    Go jets

Here's the optimist's point of view about this upcoming season:

    1. Rookies: They will play 100% motivated, will learn the system perfectly b/c they are geniuses and will work hard. Lastly, they will all play way beyond their potential.
    2. Free agents: See #1
    3. Sanchez: You know how on some passes he looks like a superstar? That's how all his passes will be. He'll be the #1 QB in the league. The reason: see #1
    4. Tebow: Best backup in the league. Will be like Brad Smith at his peak, but better.
    5. Other players: See #1
    6. Coaches: The best
    7. Injuries: None
    8: Outcome: 19-0

Weird...I haven't seen a single post stating any of these things. Exaggerate much? Stuff like this is stupid and contributes nothing to any kind of discussion.

    Thanks for coming out.

Well U have to try to grasp that the poster is being very cynical because 99% of the posters believe we are going 19-0 (I am not one of them) so his post is spot on

99% eh? That's weird. I've read virtually every post in this thread and many others and the most I heard someone say was either 11-5 or 12-4. Which, IMO, is pretty generous but not nearly 19-0 like you seem to think everyone is saying. Hell, I don't even think you can find one serious post where someone said they think we'll go 19-0 or even above 12-4 in the regular season for that matter.

I've read enough of your posts to know your style. You're either a) not really a fan and just here to be a downer because you don't have a life or b) one of those fans that plays the "be really negative so if I'm right I can say 'I told you so' but if I'm wrong I can still act like I'm happy that I was wrong" card.

Your posts hold no weight as far as I'm concerned because I already know what you're going to say: something negative about the team, something dismissive about the poster, something about being older and having seen more football than us, emoticons showing your displeasure and a possible (sometimes!) post that hints that you hope you are wrong but don't think you are.

    That about sum it up?

^Yeah, that 99% thing is a load. Most optimists on here are at least realistic. I'm one of the biggest MS supporters, but I'm not going to claim he's the best or even top 10 yet. I believe he can get into the top 10 next year, but it's not like I ignore his faults and pretend he doesn't throw picks. Darksiders only made up this stereotype that they refer to as "homers". They'll call anyone a homer who ever says anything positive about anything, when the truth is, even the alleged homers on here are infinitely more rational than just about any darksider. They ruin it for everyone because they never say a single positive thing about anyone on the team, except people that have left. It's just humerus how angry and bitter some people seem. As if it's easy to win a superbowl.... Like, who actually goes out of their way to make a signature based on nothing but failure like 69 has. That's just absurd, I feel like fans like that shouldn't be fans, for their own health's sake.

Here's the pessimists point of view about this upcoming season:

    1. Rookies: Lousy draft. Jets FO had their heads up their asses when they drafted. All the draft picks are a stretch, an unnecessary risk. The Pats, Ravens and Steelers out-drafted the Jets, like usual. All busts.
    2. Free agents: They picked up a RUGBY PLAYER who's never played football!? MORONS!!
    3. Sanchez: Sanchez sucks, he's inaccurate, can't read the defense, has no leadership skills.
    4. Tebow: Jesus freak. No talent. Can't pass the ball. Just a big distraction.
    5. Other players: Mediocre at best and aging. No leadership in the locker room. All the leaders were traded/let go.
    6. Coaches: OC is from a failed team. Rex is just a blowhard who can't keep his team together.
    7. Injuries: Laron Landry is already injured.
    8: Outcome: 2-14

Fixed the outcome. If the "optimists" have a perfect season then the "pessimists" have to have something that mirrors that.

I want to see this years drafted players and how they pan out, I think that they have a better chance to make the team barring injurt than the last 4 drafts. We can upgrade at some week postions, S, WR, DE, DT, RB and quite posibly the OL which is supect presently.I really dont know what the offensive game plan is besides ground and pound and is the O really going to work? I do not want to win games with tricks and gimics. I believe the defense is going to be a monster up front on defense its the back end that has my concern. On O Hill will shine. The rookie RB we have the big bruser will shine. Tebow will be the difference between winning and game changing if he is given the oppportunity at the right time. I want him with the ball crunch time do or die. Hes like Kobe or Jordan, he is a killer and love that he is he to kill on those last critical moments when someone has to step up. He is that guy. Killer instinct, McElroy has these same qualities.

We had a good draft but we also had a lot of substantial holes to fill mostly OL.S and WR
The D with Couples leading the attact will be off the chain!

I guess U should have grown up in Russia where censorship was in force then come to the USA & then U would understand what freedom of the press is

As for my signature once more THOSE ARE HISTORICAL FACTS! Do U know what those are. If you do not I will give U a lesson those are things that have occurred in history & therefore there is NO CHANGING them.

If you do not like us being losers since 69 then register your complaints not to this board but to Woody Johnson & Co

    Reasons to be excited:
    - Much easier schedule this year where we play the NFC west.
    - Didn't lost any big pieces to our team
    - We traded for a backup QB that will push a reportedly lazy Sanchez
    - Rookies and Free agents are helping the team become faster. One of the major problems with this team last year was how unathletic and slow a lot of the players were. We improved our athleticism in many places.

    Reasons to be negative:
    - The Pats will still win the division.

I think when we look back on this draft years from now we will say it was a hell of a draft
