Nash is a big boy but like Soss said, look at the numbers. He doesn't play nearly up to his size. I like Nash, but I don't see him as the fit that a lot of people see him as for the Rangers. I've heard a couple people say that he would be addressing the scoring draught in the playoffs had the trade been made, but nobody cares to think of what would have been given up. I'm sorry, but it was 110% the right move not to get him no matter what he would have brought to the table in terms of goal scoring ability.
Sorry Michael, I changed my avatar till the playoffs are over in June, I've had Green Guy's avatar since Michael passed away a few years ago...
I am very confident, the Garden is going to explode tommorrow, so Tuck can do his victory dance again...
Obviously Dubi is better (sorry Jonny D) but can't understand the hate for Mitch, he's a fourth line role player, who is responsible defensively +14, a grinder, throws the body and actually wins faceoffs, he setup Staal's game winner, he's a fuckin' role player not Cindy Crosby...
Theres nothing wrong with Mitchell. He just doesnt belong on any PP in all of organized hockey. I realize he is one of few who can win a draw...win the draw, and get teh fuck off the ice
So did anyone buy Devil tix for conference final yesterday? I was too scurred of being stuck with devil/cap tix
Well, there's no logical way for him to win a draw, get off the ice and have a more offensively sound player come on the ice but I agree with you. His faceoff prowless shouldn't grant him PP time. Literally, the best place for him to be on the PP (if Torts insists that's not the bench) is in front of Holtby. Park his ass there and let him get knocked around. That's the best I can think of if he has to be on for an offensive zone PP draw.

the dropoff in talent in the NHL is so slight, if any at all, that a few calls, or bad bounces can change everything. The Rangers have played well enough to have won this series already, but they're up against a very good team, a team that has been one of the powerhouses of the NHL of the last few years even though they dropped off a bit this year from losing their goalies. Their goalie now has kept them alive as well.
