http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...-brady-calling-their-remarks-and-actions-disr I hope Revis and the Defense comes out on fire next season. With a real chip on their shoulders. We see them Week 7 and Week 12. Get mad, get angry, play with heart. This is what we need.
They will. ...Hopefully, we will be loud as fuck and motivate the shit out of them. I will never forget the noise at the new stadium game 1 against Baltimore. When the defense entered the field our stadium was pandemonium and when Ellis destroyed Flacco you could hear wind get sucked out and then madness. I fucking love it. I need it. Defense, ground 'n pound all mother fucking day. Everybody better watch out.
Full Article from NY POST: 2:37 PM, May 10, 2012 ι By BRIAN COSTELLO Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis is no fan of Patriots coach Bill Belichick – that is clear. Revis called Belichick a jerk on ESPN last month during a game of word association. Asked Thursday to explain what he meant, Revis went off, calling Belichick ignorant and disrespectful. Revis said he took particular offense to Belichick's comments after the Patriots 37-16 victory over the Jets last November at MetLife Stadium. The Post reported Belichick said "37 points on the best defense in the league, s--- my d---" as he made his way off the field after the game. "I have respect for him," Revis said. "Winning is winning, but sometimes things are disrespectful. When you say certain comments about the Jets, some stuff is disrespectful. It's OK to have a rivalry. It's OK to compete. But when it gets personal, you're getting disrespectful. I didn't start this battle. The smart remarks sometimes he say are ignorant. It's ignorant to this organization." Revis was then asked which quote in particular bothered him. "The one talking about the best defense they can s-- my … all that stuff," Revis said. "That's just ignorant. Why go there? You won fair and square. We shook your hand after the game. We'll see you in New England or wherever in the playoffs. That's OK, but when you start saying stuff like that it gets too personal. You don't have to say that. Did anybody else say anything like that? No, not from our side." Someone then reminded Revis that fellow cornerback Antonio Cromartie called Brady a derogatory term two years ago. "Sometimes he [is] on the field," Revis said. "That's him saying his personal opinion about him. If that's how he acts, that's how he acts. He wants throw a touchdown and then point at our sideline, that's disrespect, man. That's not sportsmanship. Do people say words to each other on the field? Oh yeah, but that's in between the lines. When that's getting out of hand, come on. Sportsmanship." Revis said he meant what he said on ESPN. "They told me to sum it up in one word. I gave my honest opinion," Revis said. "That's just how I felt and that's how I feel. I feel people let him slide when he says his smart remarks and certain things. He says comments about us like he never coached here because he did. That's how I felt. "He can take it how he wants and say whatever he wants to say back. Even if he says something back, I'm not going to get into jawing with him. I said what I had to say. He still has to coach. I still have to go out and play."
We need to put a huge target on the Patriots. The Ravens put a huge target on the Steelers last year and thats all they talked about all preseason and it resulted in them sweeping the Steelers. I think last year we got to cocky off of that divisional round playoff game from 2010 and the Patriots got the best of us.
this year's number one goal should be to put Brady on his ass 6-8 times every time the Jets play the Patri***ts
Unfortunately, Woody thought it was a good idea to have our biggest rival come to the stadium on Thanksgiving when many of the faithful will be home with their families. Too bad...
OMG, is he serious? The Jets talk shit year around. The Patriots shut them up by stomping them twice, and when they say something back, all of a sudden it is disrespectful? What a fuckin cry baby. Hey Revis, you play on a team where everyone (including you) opens your fat mouth week in and week out. If you cant take the heat in return, then get the fuck out of the kitchen. What a fucking wimp.
*point if the story* *your head* Revis is talking about disrespectful talk, not friendly jabs that Rex gives. If you can find a moment when Rex says something equivalent to "such and such team can suck my d---", please post it. What Revis should of said when asked about Cromartie is there's a difference between coaches and players saying it.
Really? Find a time a Jets player celebrated a TD by mocking an off the field incident of an opponent? The last time the Jets trash talked was before the Pats in the playoffs and they backed it up. Since then they haven't uttered any trash talk. You just proved to be another person sucked in by what the media portrays. Ever hear the comments, "The Patriots will have an advantage at HC and QB when they face us. Our job is to be better then them everywhere else?" What bad trash talk, so mean. Rex Ryan has said this in different ways multiple times when facing the Pats. EDIT: seems like I just joined the list of fans calling out Bills over Jets lack of knowledge of the Jets trash talk. Another fan that just buys into misleading headlines.
And Bill a jerk a couple months ago. Everyone forgets in the slouch comments that Revis was praising other receivers endlessly.
Not buying it. Calling Brady an asshole in the public media (even if you really do think so) then you gotta be prepared for Pats players/coaches to to also fire back with unsavory comments @ Jets. Drawing the line as to what is too much or too personal when firing back is never going to be something universally agreed upon. That's why so many people give boring answers/quotes.
I don't see anything wrong with what Revis said. Bellichek is a classless individual. Tom Brady is a whining crybaby who is scared to get hit and when he does the first thing he does is complain to the referees. A cheating organization that I agree with John Harbaugh needs to have an asterisk next to their SB victories.
I think what I liked most is that Revis didn't try to backpedal. Too many athletes try to do that even when they speak their mind.
