I love that show and it was great seeing the Jets on it but the problem I have now is all reports are saying Woody wants it but Rex and tannebaum do not. If Rex doesn't want to do it then I hope they don't.
Yep, me too. I missed the broadcast so downloaded it to watch it. And like sg3 says, "if it happens I will watch", but I haven't changed my mind. I still think it is a good idea to do a preseason 'documentary' but do it in house. Then broadcast bits and pieces 'trailer teasers' throughout the preseason with a full release during the preseason games. The sports gurus would just use another HBO type Hard Knocks to knock the Jets around even more.
if it was such a big distraction how come the team did so well that year. I think the distraction element is overrated and I think them being on TV again could squash some of the "circus" comments. Although the "circus" comments will heat up again leading up to the show. I say do it.
I think the distraction element between 2010 and this year is a little different though. This year, we have a supposedly fractured locker room that needs work, whether it be attitude, team chemistry, or whatever. Coming off of our rough season, I feel like they shouldn't do it.
That's a good idea all teams should do....shoot their own internal documentary of all the goings on during the draft, minis, OTA, camp, cuts, preseason, etc, then edit it into something their own fans would LOVE and put it out there once a year. love this idea...all 32 teams should do it for their fans that never get to see much of behind the scenes goodies.

key word is supposedly...let's say they are on the show and the locker room looks much improved/better then ever...that can actually alleviate much of the outside pressure on the matter.
I voted yes because for me personally I'd love to see the training camp progress and competition, especially for RT. It's entertaining and doubt it takes much away from the training camp for the team at all.
No because RR said he doesn't want to do it. Woody is a fuckin douchebag if he doesn't let his HC run camp the way he wants to.
At 1st I said hell no. Now that the circus is already in town...fuck it. Why not? It's not like we can go under the radar anyway. I could use the entertainment because looking at the holes on our roster is just depressing.
I know we went to the AFCCG when we did hard knocks, but isin't it time we concentrate on just football???????????
PRO) I want to see coverage of the Jets, especially the rare footage hardknocks brings. CON) Everyone already thinks we're just a circus show already. PRO) This can unite a team and bring players into the fold. CON) Or the cameras and attention could hamper the development of key players that we really need to step up (Coples, Hill, Landry, WFH, etc). PRO) YOU GET TO SEE THE JETS IN HD ON HBO ONCE A WEEK!!! My summary was this. As much as I truly do want to watch not just my favorite NFL team, but my favorite sports team up close and personal every week (and trust me I would, I freakin loved it the 1st time) I think this years locker room environment and the Tebowmania swirling about, it has to be the worst time ever for something like this. As previously stated, for God sakes Rex Ryan doesn't think it's a good idea! This shows it's time to stay away from the publicity stunts and stick to football.
